The Main Characters Even One Piece fans admit the main characters of One Piece are garbage. They're poorly written, static, gag ridden badly written characters that have barely any character development over 1000+ chapters, which is appalling for a series this long. I'll go over each of my problems with them: Plotffy: Where do I start. Generic shounen MC with barely any originality. He is a diet version of Goku, has a similar personality to him and He's turning more into a Goku wannabe post TS e.g. haki "blooming in extreme situations" just like zenkai. He's just your average shounen, happy go lucky, food loving clown Luffy has no character development in terms of progression. He's still recklessly impulsive and makes the same nonsensical decisions he did pre TS. Luffy really should have matured more after Ace's death. Luffy beating Crocodile, Lucci, Doffy, Cracker and Katakuri wasn't because he was necessarily stronger, but because the plot required him to do so. Oda had to nerf his opponents just to make his win more acceptable. Luffy Vs Katakuri was arguably the worst offender of this. Zoro: He's just a bland, one dimensional, typical Gary Stu that turned into a poor man's Guts over the timeskip. Better yet, a more accurate description is he's become a try hard, Mihawk clone. Nami: She's rather static for the rest of the series. Most of the time she's just an annoying, bossy, over emotional toddler that's used as a "damsel in distress" like most female One Piece characters. Her boobs grew too much over the timeskip and she's used as fanservice all the damn time. Nami post TS is basically Orihime 2.0. Usopp: Poorly written, inconsistent character. Usopp has signs of bravery nearly every arc, only for him to regress back into a scaredy-cat the next arc. His character was ruined the most because of One Piece's long term storytelling. I can already imagine Oda continuing this form of development until the final arc where he conveniently stops acting like a scaredy-cat. Most of his fights are won out of comedy e.g. Perona, Sugar. Usopp is not relatable nor is he the most human out of the crew, that ship sailed the minute Oda's garbage writing just had him perform superhuman feats like tanking a 4 ton bat. He's just a scaredy-cat that hasn't changed at all. Usopp leaving Robin to run away is still the lowest moment of his character. Sanji: The perverted (borderline sexist) love cook. These days he's become a giant meme in the fandom, which is understandable. Sanji's so fodder and takes so much Ls that it's even debatable if he's still in the monster trio, that's how low his character has fallen. His oversensitive fanboys overhype every little feat he shows e.g. Sanji cheap shotting Bobbin and Oven. Sanji has no character progression. WCI focused a lot on Sanji, but it felt like Oda was trying to recapture Robin's character arc but handled it poorly. Most of the arc shows him acting out of character e.g. moping around, crying and acting like a scaredy-cat. You would think he would have learnt from the events with Robin to have more faith in his crew but nope. His "I want to return to the Sunny!" was the most bootleg Robin speech ever. It lacked the same build up as hers' and just fell flat, in fact it was hilarious if anything. Back to Sanji's character arc, after everything Sanji experienced e.g. being confronted by his past and family, his character didn't have any meaningful development. Sanji didn't learn or grow in any real way, his personality and morals are exactly the same because they were never properly challenged. His character is basically the same it's been since day 1. It baffles me that most of the fanbase seem to care more about Sanji's W/Ls and whether he'll wear the raid suit than his lack of development, but whatever. Sanji's character lost me when he put his own morals above saving Robin in Enies Lobby. He was cemented as trash when Oda decided to dial up his nosebleed gag to 100. His gags are by far the worst in the series. The fact it was used as an actual plot point in Fishman Island was a joke. Chopper: Objectively worst straw hat. Chopper used to be the cute, useful doctor of the crew but then Oda flanderized him after the timeskip. Now he's just the awful mascot of the crew used to sell merchandise. His design is lame. His forms are garbage. Chopper barely uses any of his other points besides Kung fu point (terrible design) and Monster point. MP in his uncontrolled version used to be beastly, but ever since he did that nonsensical dance post TS it went downhill. Now it's just laughably weak that even giant kids neg him. Also, the 3 mins time limit is a joke. What happened to arm point? Cloven style? Scanning for weaknesses with brain point? Why doesn't he use heavy and horn points? It's as if Chopper had better control over his df pre TS. Not to mention, Chopper is criminally underutilised (along with Robin). The only noteworthy thing he did in WCI was capture Bruluee, but that wasn't enough to redeem him. Chopper's by far the biggest letdown post timeskip. His development is bare bones at best, just an offhand line of him not minding being a monster if it's to help Luffy become PK. Franky: He is a plot device like every other One Piece character. Right now all he serves is this soppy, cyborg who loves screaming "SUPERRR!" while he does his nonsensical pose every 5 mins. All of his fights are boring & poorly written. Robin: Bland and useless. Robin doesn't talk, she doesn't fight, she doesn't have any real interesting character interactions with the rest of the crew, she doesn't have that much screen time, she doesn't have many memorable contributions each arc, Robin's just there... Poor Robin's only 1v1 fight is in Skypiea and besides that she's stuck on fodder control. Robin isn't even a character anymore, just a plot device. All she's good for is reading poneglyphs and giving expositions from time to time. Brook: Probably the second worst of the bunch next to the walking stereotype Plotffy. because he never was a character, just a walking gag. 90% of his dialogue is skull/ pervert jokes or "YOHOHOHO". His jokes aren't funny, they got old real quick. He doesn't have as much interesting character interactions with the rest of the crew seeing as he joined so late. He's useless in fights and they're boring as hell since it's just him blitzing his opponent. Brook's got no development and barely contributed to the series as a whole. Pointless character The Main Character Infinite Plot Armor, Power of Friendship & Garbage Writing in General Pre Timeskip In General One Piece makes new power ups out of nowhere through the power of friendship and deus ex machinas all of the time for the main characters. This is true especially for Luffy who literally always gets a convenient new power up at the last minute that makes Luffy a 1000 times stronger than his opponent and just so happens to be a perfect instant counter for his opponent The Straw Hat Pirates are never seen training or developing their abilities, but Eiichiro Oda said that Devil Fruits never get stronger or change over time, Oda claims that users just get creative with using Devil Fruits. But the main characters are clearly just constantly pulling new abilities out of nowhere when they are about to lose. Even so, the Straw Hats are rarely seen experimenting with their abilities, and there's several of them that don't have Devil Fruit powers at all. Luffy literally always gets nonsensical, convenient power ups. He is never shown training for. This isn't overtime. Luffy literally pulls power ups out of nowhere through the power of friendship whenever he needs them Luffy only learned the basics of haki during the 2 year timeskip. There was no mention of any transformations or power ups. There was no foreshadowing or any hints. And Luffy admitted that he hasn't even mastered the basics of Haki during the Fishman Island Arc after the Timeskip. Similarly Zoro pulled 9 Swords out of nowhere through the power of friendship. And Sanji pulled Diable Jambe out of nowhere through the power of friendship. Then he pulled Wolverine Powers out of nowhere through his infinite plot armor. Alabasta Arc The Straw Hats suddenly get various upgrades during the Enies Lobby arc. Nami unveils a Perfect Clima Tact on the sea train, mentioning that Usopp gave it to her before he left, despite using her normal Clima Tact at the Galley-La Mansion. Usopp unveils his Kabuto when sniping the World Government flag, despite having used his normal slingshot on the sea train. Worst of all is Zoro's Ashura form, since the fandom wasn't given any attempt at an explanation for how it worked until Wano. In the manga, Pell grabs a time bomb that Crocodile was going to use to blow up the city and flies it into the sky with five seconds left. The speed and lift he would need to escape this alive would be well past supersonic. No explanation is given for how he survives this; he just does. Pell surviving was one of the many reasons that "nobody dies in One Piece" was a meme among anime fans for so long. The most infamous is Pell's surviving his Heroic Sacrifice in the climax of the Alabasta arc. He carries a massive bomb with a two and a half kilometer blast radius high enough above the city that no one is harmed by the blast, and is at ground zero when it explodes. He not only survives the blast, but somehow avoids falling to his death.
Back then when me, my brother, and my friends were still kids, we would bet that one of our guys is gonna win and if one of us loses. We trade or buy each other candy instead of like betting and giving each other money.
can u make another animation but on a stick man named zach who is my oc , his powers are ultimate summoning which makes it so he can summon any thing or anyone at any time or place at his own will. Zach also has two swords which broke but combined to make and ultimate weapon called the DuScy which is a scythe with two sides. I would appreciate this animation and would love to see it, thank you.
