Hey bro.. ya I take the two tubes and put them out from window. I set tubes in window and raise glass till touches.. I use a big net on tubes for protection and keeping bugs out then on inside I use the window covering (privacy) and that covers the rest of the opening between window and top. I'm kinda in the same boat. Some health issues and depression ( I think both came from my toxic marriage that I'm leaving) I'm a teacher and wondering how I can do this camp/living in 4R life without it being obvious that I live in my car. You're great in front of the camera-stop selling yourself short!
You can do it.. I recently got a little cargo van transit connect because I need protection during Gastro’s attack.. I loved the 4 runner cause it blended in everywhere.. if you do go on the road, I recommend central North America and stay at truck stops at first. I was super comfortable with the lights and convenience store. I had to stop for a while to take care of my mother but in two years I’m back I miss it so much.. I wish I didn’t have to give up 4r but using outdoor shower tent for my restroom was soooo bad in snow. I have two forms of depression and anxiety and no drug has helped like being on the road. I did feel like a high schooler lol. I appreciate your kind words and I hope you find healing with travel. This sounds maybe crazy but I felt God speaking to me through all the landscapes. Crow res in South Dakota was amazing. Ft Thompson. Sorry for long winded reply but I know how depression is a blackness and how much it helped for me to be on the road!
Thanks for sharing, I left the US last year and living in SE Asia, I’ll be back in the States next year, thanks for the inspiration. Head west to desert BLM land in the winter, you can stay 2 weeks, then move to a different location. Quartzite AZ would be a good choice, other people doing the same and you would meet like minded people, they even have caravans you can join .

Hey, thanks for coming by.. I’m not as good as I making good videos.. I’ve been dying to do one about my power system and I just can’t get a plan together 😂 the 4runner is a tank but it has some negs too.. like gas mileage 😆 it’s killing me
@@juniadventures what are you averaging? I just did a 1600 mile round trip to colorado with the rav and average 28mpg even loaded down with the stuff on my roof haha
Thanks for coming by and your comment..my awning room is smaller than I thought and those cold days n nights the fabric touching me was super frustrating. If you can find one already installed where you can see the space you have is what I would recommend. :) In near future ARB is one I will look into as well for sure. Just seems like you get more room :) let me know if you post pics or vids of your setup. Would love to check it out. Hifive
