*What you said about Concord/Harrisburg makes a lot of sense now. When I went there, it felt more like a Midwestern exurb: some spacious new construction, modern roads, mostly plain empty fields. But the sewer explanation makes a lot more sense as there is empty land, but no construction yet.*

You might want to rehearse your videos before taping and releasing. Waxhaw is not north of Charlotte and the Vineyards are to the WEST of Charlotte. That might confuse someone who is looking to move here. Good luck to you!
*One of my least favorite things about the Charlotte Metro is the car-centric urban sprawl. But I'm happy to see a couple mixed-use communities present in the area!*
I do wish there was more public transportation for our residents however so few who use it they have actually shut down some of these means of transport. Maybe one day when we get bigger, for now we are making sure there is plenty of parking :)
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina I think one of the reasons people aren't using it is because it's not really good. As a UNCC commuting from a North Charlotte Suburb, going via the metro would be a dream, but unfortunately, there aren't enough routes and it's not really great quality, which many natives agree on
Yes, to blooper reels! I had an IT hub in my previous place. Makes things so much simpler! <sigh> Carpet in the bedrooms…again. But, the Master Suite has hardwood floors! Nice! The Primary Bathroom is nice! Love the video!

I guess affordablility will depend on a lot of things such as retirement income, desires for lifestyle etc. I will say we are one of the more affordable cities in the country and the availability of several varieties of home prices. I'd be happy to talk you through your options :)
I have a lot of clients come from that area. Both spots are great but from socal, Charlotte will certainly align a bit better from an aspect of things available from food to shopping and homes

@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina here in Vermont we have to apply for low income housing to afford rent for middle class healthcare workers. Because even nurses here struggle to find a one to two bedrooms apartment specially houses. That’s why young professionals leaving Vermont. Because they cannot afford the rent. It is sad to know
@@gaminsfun9078 That is NUTS. Its sad how gov policies can make things so unafordable for people and force them to move :( We are very middle of the line here on policies (red and blue) which has created a nice mix and allowed for better opportunities all around. You'll def love NC
I know it is getting really bad here also we’re starting to see drug user in streets here and homelessness homeless people not from around here. 10 years ago it use to be a cute state. But since Covid the Burlington turn to dump. All homeless people use the hotels and motels as there temporary shelter. Good thing Bernie sanders never win as a president of our country if he can’t even clean a small state. Businesses slowly turning around to go somewhere because of theft. And defunding law enforcement. Thank you for explaining the difference of Raleigh and charlotte land wise about the sizes. You definitely deserve the follow.

As a transplant from California you did a great job of speaking to the area. One thing I’d say is not correct is planting. Look around there is so much lush greenery, and flowers. I was never able to grow in CA, and here everything seems to take off. Also, mosquitoes really aren’t a big deal. We had those too in CA. One thing add, we have an amazing Farmers Market off exit 6 on the 77.
You are very right about planting. I certainly do NOT have a green thumb at all lol. But those that do plant, the climate makes it ideal for growing :) Glad you're here and thank you for commenting
Great video thanks a lot . I moved to Raleigh 3 years ago from Sacramento CA and honestly it’s boring here plus the pollen is killing me ,, HATE IT . we plan to move to charlotte but does it get pollen like Raleigh ?????
Sadly we do get "the Poloning" one time a year. But there is FAR more to do here than hin Raleigh (speaking from experience). If you are thinking of relocating, give me a shout, I'd love to help!
