Great to see Derby County back in the Championship, good luck for the season (not tomorrow, obviously).. It's Sheffield UNITED, or The Blades, or even Sheff U... Sheffield FC play in the 7th tier of English football, a fantastic club, the first and oldest football club on the planet. Out of respect for them and us....
I really wanted to watch this, but constantly calling us Sheffield.....even after being corrected.....is a no from me. Sorry. Hope we pump you 5-0 just for being ignorant
Weakness: No natural goal scorer (luckily plenty of goals from midfield). Moore is an average Championship striker in a top 6 team and he's the best of a bad bunch.
You are getting a proper old school CB in Phillips. Lad is premier league standard. Leader. Will play for the badge. The Bolton baresi we called him. Not Liverpool level but NEVER let us down. Look after him. You will love him. Good luck for season Derby should be higher in pyramid imo. History behind you, proper club
Thank you for this informative insight of a player by someone that understands his weaknesses and strengths. It sounds as though he should add strength to our team, which is what we need. Hopefully his lack of pace isn’t going to affect us too much. Cashin has that same deficiency.
Tbh guys after watch Leeds v Boro the other day, i think this is when Derby will see how tough the champ is now compared when they were last in it. I mean, i know they struggled against blackburn but imho Boro are way better than B,burn . Great content guys and gl to all who support teams within the championship...
I feel a little more upbeat about Middlesbrough this season than Tom appears to (despite having Burnley, Leeds and Boro to go up!). I'm not sure Leeds will be as good this season - they were certainly turned over good and proper in the Carabao Cup this week - Leeds 0-3 Boro. Derby MIGHT have enough to stay up this season and, for most clubs, retaining a place in the division above (after a promotion) is the main aim. That would be a success. Mind you, predictions sometimes come home to bite you...
RVB is a talent. Undersold a little by Tom mind the clubs he turned down to join middlesbrough were jaw dropping and by all accounts they are all still circling and IMO he will be the stand out Centre half in the championship this season . I also get a strong feeling the American is going to take people buy suprise he looks really tidy so far

Great interview mate! Johnny was a legend at Derby. Played with skill, determination and immense talent. Derby were a joy to watch in that era and I’m sure everyone in Derby wishes him well for this season and the future. I reckon he’d be 10mph faster without that beard though. 😉😉
You've got a decent player there. hope he gets regular game time and shows what he can do. look after him, we want him back ready to step up into the first team next season!

Alan Hinton, if you watch the old footage, was a very rare commodity in football, a winger who could cross the ball with either foot and drop it on a sixpence. How many times do we watch footballers today getting paid every week what I paid for my house, who can't put a cross in. His worth in todays game would be immeasurable.
Let’s hope we can build on that first half performance, and hopefully get our first home win this season against Cardiff on Wednesday, the reddogs were poor and there for the taking, game management of that second half still questionable👌
