Hey , I felt like rewatching your rewrite after seeing the broadly musical again. What also could’ve been added into the 2019 remake was the songs/scenes “shadowland” , “endless night” , and even “madness of scar” - that could’ve even play another part in Zira s downfall , by hinting that scar s been manipulating her into thinking she could be his queen, but put in reality he’s eyeing Napa until she leaves, then by the end with the battle of pride rock, zira s already to far gone and scar throwing her under the bus sends her over the edge.

Fun fact: In the Manga, the Akame vs. Kurome climax was different. Wave managed to stop the fight between Akame and Kurome by destroying Kurome's blade and vowing to watch after her for the rest of their lives. He then faked Kurome's and his own deaths and took Kurome away to a village far outside the capital where a special hot springs that extends people's lives.
I mean, MUSICAL movies should cast SINGERS first and foremost, at least for anyone who has a singing role. You would not cast a movie actor for a live stage musical, it makes no sense.

Despite the flaws in the writing of the film, I do think it's still somewhat of a good movie and its unfortunate the creators were not able to tell the original intended story. I was unaware of this and did not have access to all this extra information when I made this video. I have no doubt that I overlooked things in the film and undoubtedly misunderstood some of the deeper themes due to my lack of understanding of the culture. Since the story is culture based. Regardless, I'm happy to learn new things about the film.
