Ive recently done this to both eyeshadow powders and creams yet my cases are mostly diy compacts with magnetic adhesive sheets . And this is my personal kit and experience for travel Pans are magnetic from small to big so theres diversity and can even make my palette smaller in need Cream products arnt my strength to mash yet some with shimmers i have to do it . If not Melting is my go to with a oil scent buner and a mini pan(be careful) water in the bowl thing in the burner and the mini pan above (double boil method) after the product is in the magnetic tin so keep an eye on it then let it cool Powder depots are an absolute ease to me same use of the pan now have clean tools plus clean cloth/tissue . Mix to a paste put in the pan . If you dont have a one ton press . use your cloth on a clean surface, put the paste consitancy product facing the cloth and press the everloving stress of it to compact take exces and let it dry (you can spray some alcahol if you like)

I was soooo sad when you used to review Merit products because we couldn't get them here and I did do a fair bit of complaining about it. So very happy that I can now buy it! I would like the bronzer, blush, eyeshadow and lipstick and probably the lip oil as that was a product that I kept seeing the US influencers raving about!
I love Merit! Not everything works for me but I only have 2 fails out of the range, most of which I own although 1 or 2 shades per item. It’s become a fast favourite and I am considering throwing out my powders and other makeup with a couple of exceptions. I don’t care for the highlighter- their other products are glowy enough but if I was wearing super matte makeup I would probably love even that. The eyeshadow is another fail- all too dark and too orange in Studio while Social looks like a ripe bruise (quite pale, cool toned) As for the skincare - love both the serum and the moisturizer. Makeup-the Minimalist became my only foundation/concealer, the bronzer in Clay is my favourite, Beverly Hills & Cheeky for blush, Baby lipstick and the brow gel is perfection. Lip oil in Pink Beet and Taupe. I prefer Hourglass Unlocked mascara for more volume in a tubing formula and Bobbi Brown eye crayon in Bone or Shore. Bobbi B’s shades are more inclusive and don’t dry out while remaining easy, creamy and long lasting. Otherwise it’s Merit all day everyday. The lipstick doubles as a good cream blush and both blushes double as a great sheer cream lip tint. The big brush works well for everything face without cleaning in between. I’m considering getting the eye brush because of how well the big one performs.
Well I placed my first order yesterday and now the wait is just for delivery-taking little steps and only ordered the foundation stick, cream blush and the two brushes you recommended. Nice free gift of a purse mirror and the merit free bag looks lovely. ☺️
@@matildaonvideo I'm definitely adding the minimalist and a couple of solo shadows (so keen to try social!) but the lipsticks (usually my easiest pick) have got me stumped. Matte or satin? Red or your lips but better? DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!
I love this brand. Rarely misses. I’m super pale and cool and Studio just pulls orange on me and Social goes on like a bad bruise. Wishing for a pale cool beige to just do a skin tone neutral for pale people.
I almost like the bruise-like quality of Social 😂 It creates a very natural shadow (as in, the look of a physical shadow and depth) on the eyes if you just use a very light layer! But I'd love to see lighter shades and rosy tones in future too x

MERIT eyeshadow in Brun is my everyday understated eyeliner and I have yet to meet a better dark midnight blue shade than Midnight, Social & Studio are next :)
Urgh I loathe the American "glossy-yay" pronunciation in the same way they say "boost-tee-yay" when referring to a bustier.... and what's with the "lug-jury" - its an X in luxury
Technically the French pronunciation - the name Glossier was based on the word 'dossier' ☺️👍 I agree that some letters seem to go astray for Americans, but as an Aussie, I'm often trying to fight against the natural variations in my own accent haha x
Flower beauty is phasing out of AUS/NZ it seems :( and there’s a lightweight lipstick (Perfect Pout in Blossom) that I’ve been looking for a dupe for. Baby looks like it could be a winner! I am very interested in the lipsticks, they have interested me for ages but obviously I’ve never been able to get my hands on them. I will wait for when I have saved up a bit but how exciting to have these available in Aus :)
Ooh I didn't know that Mickey - have you read something about Flower Beauty leaving or just get that sense from stock levels etc? I haven't tried their lipstick to compare unfortunately, but I hope Signature Lip might be in a similar lightweight league for you in future! ☺️💄 x
@@matildaonvideo I noticed my chemist warehouse completely got rid of the display for Flower Beauty and when I looked it up someone on Reddit (alleged employee) said that they were pulling out of AU/NZ bc of stock issues. But yes hope to get my lightweight daily lip fix somewhere, hopefully Merit 💄
My suggestion is Peripera Glasting lipgloss in 006 MADE IT. It looks a bit more purple in the bottle, but on my skin and my lips, it's very close to Black Honey. This shade is pretty popular from Peripera, because it was hard for me to get it since it was always out of stock😅
Please give Aussies a chance to be excited about this launch Roxanne - brands never make it to us this quickly (it took Glossier 9 years!!) 😂🇦🇺 As a big MERIT fan, this specific 'favourites' video was highly requested when the shipping news broke. As a follow-up beauty lover and a western European no one understands their plight beter. However I question a merrit video 3 weeks ago and finding a way to put the spotlight on the brand almost week all has 2 do with the brand comming to Australia. It's just giving a bit of Avon calling vibes tbh 🤷♀️
@@roxanne3986 I hope you might've seen in previous videos that I always label paid partnerships very clearly and take ad disclosure seriously, so no 'Avon vibes' here! Sadly creators don't have control over the timing of their paid partnerships, and this Australian shipping news was very unexpected, so I can assure you I wasn't trying to 'find a way' to feature MERIT again - launch week is just a helpful, relevant time to share content about the *most requested* brand amongst my Aussie viewers. I tried Merit after watching so many of your videos over the years. The lipsticks are definitely my favorite- I have three signature satins and one matte. Millennial, Ginger, Slip, and Court. They are divine. Also love the minimalist and number #1 brush. Will try flush balm next. 🫶🏽
I’m having a current love affair with Glossier right now (Future Dew is saving my skin when it’s super dry! Ultra Lip is my favorite lipstick!) and I’ve had my eye on Merit for quite a while and I’m thrilled they extended their shade range so I’m thinking very seriously about picking up the complexion stick and brush no. 1. Just got all of their face products and LOVE the way they apply and look, however, after a couple of hours all color is GONE from the bronzer and blush. Any recs on how to make it last? I have tried powdering and setting sprays and neither of those helped. I want to love them, but I can't at this point!! TY for any suggestions.
I like to embrace the way creamy makeup moves with you so I don't have any tricks for longevity unfortunately Deann! I very rarely reach for powder or setting spray, only on special occasions like a wedding where I *really* want my makeup to last. Dewy finishes can't stick around as long as powders (and if you have dry skin like I do, my face eats blush in particular 😅) but I almost think it looks better as it settles in! I'll sometimes just quickly touch up my complexion stick or blush later in the day to freshen up my face before another meeting or dinner etc. I do have an old video on my channel on Matte Cream Blush formulas that tend to last a little longer in case that's helpful! x

loved this product breakdown! so happy that Merit has extended their shipping destinations (and continue to do so hopefully)! You opened my eyes to the brand two years ago and when that Black Friday deal arrived I couldn’t resist splurging a little bit and been in love ever since!
I have to stop myself from buying more Merit because i already have too many loves from them! But I really hope they launch that shimmery rosy eyeshadow and that lip liner! I would buy in an instant!

Yay Madds! So excited 😍💄 I'm prone to dry lips so I always prep my lips with balm before matte formulas, but this is truly one of the most comfy matte formulas I've ever tried - not 'hydrating' specifically, but they don't feel drying to me at all. So light, it almost feels like you have nothing on! x
Australia has such a hard time when it comes to makeup, that I feel genuinely happy for you, Aussies :) Spaniards, believe it or not have an even harder time importing beauty products (makeup, perfume, cosmetics, etc.) from outside the EU due to our ridiculously strict customs law. So I completely understand you and share your excitement. I can only hope that Merit gets a warehouse in the EU and they can ship here too. I had a friend bring me Midcentury and the 1990 lipstick from the US and I can't wait to try more stuff!
