I wish they would make a shelter that was a simulated outdoor space, like very clearly artificial grass and painted clouds on the ceiling. I feel like it would play better than actually trying to make outdoor shelters.
Such a cool Vault, and such a huge disappointment at the same time. They should have given us at least two more houses. After that, we could create the rest of the neighborhood with some of the other prefabs, i.e. the new shopping mart, the bowling entertainment complex, etc
I get that there are some flaws within the game, but nit picking over this shade of blue or that? I bought the bundle, and didn't even notice that the shades where a bit off, and not necessarily vault tech blue. I don't really like the vault blue anyway. The blue on the boxes, goes well with the yellow, and has an overall grunge kinda look to it, so I just assume the blue got darker or whatever due to age and exposure. I'm more concerned with major issues like crashes, the lag when i open my pip boy when I'm in an event and die because I'm getting attacked and the pip boy wont close. The bugs and links will get worked out in time.
as a side note, build your camp in the world to be zombie proof etc., Inside the shelter is inside a shelter, zombies cant get in. since its inside a shelter, it may look like the outdoors, but its actually inside, so there's no sun, hence the flashlight effect, artificial light. I do hope they make other designs of track homes that we can place down inside the shelter though.
Appreciate this video! Critical feedback on all the issues when it could've been better. Also been waiting for 'The House of Tomorrow' reskin to be added to 76 in some way so that's something, just everything else its a bit disappointing. Problem is that the bundled locked to Fo1st, shelter has invisible walls, uncanny lighting, no car port ramp on prefab, basically everything that you mentioned you hit the nail on the head thank you Mister Church !
Ty for this vid, I wanted it at first but not now, The only thing worth getting is the extractor skins, everything else is disappointingly broken or unfinished. Not worth the money at all. I recently had a glitch steal an aligned quad flamer from me, they will have to try harder than that respectfully. Amazingly information video ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹

Anybody done a Flamingo Unit count on the TracT (!) House yet? I give a shit about the lighting. Or the NoT VaUlT TeC BlUe color on the boxes. I care about build budget.

Well, you can see the lovelessness in every single "byte" of the game. And it sucks! Long, long time ago i came to the conclusion, that we players love the game more than B. like the PRODUCT they're selling. Btw. I believe that's how they see it: only a product that can be sold to blind fan boys and girls who buy every crap, no matter how shitty it is!! And to some amount they are right. 🤦😪 👋 Got to do my daylies now.....😉😂
I wish they would let us use the weather machines they gave us, that i feel that would be a good fix for the issue. I bought the camp shelter, and it's not as bad when you have it full of trees. But still, the shadows seem non-existent.
It was a huge disappointment for me….returned for refund. In all the years I’ve been playing Fallout 76, this is only the 2nd time I asked for a refund on an atomic shop purchase.
So I've used this power for evil mwah ha ha. I've been on a trap camp kick and so I set up a tent by the coming mothman event on my alt (because I'm a coward and can't handle people hating me) and built a stacked punji carpet on a tin can target and placed it inside the tent. It's so evil I'm not sure I can bring myself to actually use it but had alot of fun building it and testing it on myself😂❤
Is the color issue coming from running on PS4? I have both a PS4 Pro and PS5, and the 5 renders and looks better when both are side by side. I would upgrade to a 5 when you can. Huge quality of life for playing FO76.
I think it kinda looks like the farm/garden /fake outdoors from the fallout series vault (where they have the wedding reception and the bloody mess... kinda.
Hello Mr. Church I believe you play on PlayStation I have one major question do you have game chat cuz. I haven't had mine for 5 weeks now. Anybody else having this problem.
I play on XBox X and have the same issues with lighting here. It seems the whites are TOO white and bright, to the point of hurting my eyes. The rest of the colors seem fine. My character has a shadow, nothing else has one. In decorating the house, I’ve had no problem placing bushes, trees, and other decor around the outside or inside. The blue kitchen cabinets hung easily on the wall and went nicely into place against it. The curtains, however, won’t hang at all inside the house, but they will hang nicely on the OUTSIDE! 😂 The living room white walls are so bright that I hung 3 Cassidy’s Favorite Paintings on the large wall just to tone it down. It doesn’t look too bad. I don’t know how I’m going to tone down the white walls in the rest of the house. I can place foundations close to the outside of the house on the carport side but nowhere else. It wasn’t easy though. I just wanted steps up to the area and can’t place steps at all without a foundation. The trees in my game don’t look like your game at all. Your trees do look like a painting! Wow! In my game, the trees look as natural as in the rest of the game. Perhaps it’s the difference between platforms? 🤷🏼♀️ I was also disappointed that the build area wasn’t as large as I expected. I really wanted the area all the way to the walls. And it would’ve been fun to place a vehicle at the entrance, if not a gate like you suggested. One cool thing about it is that I can build 10 walls high! I’d love to have a structure that would get me high enough to see the awesome view of everything surrounding the community, since we aren’t allowed to run over there.
The fact you can't put frickin fridges in a shelter takes away the whole aspect of putting a clean house in there!! I feel like a chump for buying just the house alone but it looks so good blown up that I had to get that.
Bundle is cool I did refund though the house is just too big.. it fits in the shelter but out in the world it’s massive the shelter is cool but I don’t like how it spawns at the end of the town and not at the round about. Since I refunded I got to keep the items placed so I still have the ammo box and scrap box
I love the look of the shelter but the functionality is crucial when spending my money. I still have issues with other shelters I've purchased so this video is helpful. Thanks! Don't get me started on locking the one bundle through FO1St. Ugh.
To bee honest bro…. Lately everything that Bethesda is been adding and doing to fallout is completely trash…. They just add some trash content to keep sucking at peoples money 💰….
Interesting work arounds and good articulation of feelings. And the mention of "hate" in this video feels so very real with use of real money in a make believe world.
The reason it bulldozez out the front and back of the house like that is likely so you can fence it off and have front and back gardens. I think that is quite a good feature tbh.
Not a fan of how the grass in the shelter clips through everything. And i wish the outdoor shelters had day/night cycles. Lights and electricity are obsolete.
