Interesting, but I don’t think we will see this come to fruition and I’m not sure who is in the market for this. I’m guessing it would be a niche product like the Vision Pro. Of course, I’m simple; if they could give us macOS or even a way better iPadOS, I’d be happy.
Personally I think this rumor is complete nonsense. It doesn't sound like something Apple would do, and those supply chain analysts are wrong all the time and then just claim Apple "cancelled" it.
Maybe, but Asus as a company is horrendous with their practices & seems to be focused on tanking their reputation with what customers they have left. Seems to me the only people buying Asus are simply ignorant to how they've become.
Have to disagree here. Accelearting change and how its been observed with AI is extremely concerning. Take AI video generation a year ago where we had funny videos of Will Smith, terribly malformed eating spaghetti, to todays ultra realistic capabilties. Stable diffusion image generation has become so realistic, its being used in stores now. My buddy went to Ikea the other day and sent me a ton of their store "photos" which were all AI generated. A rogue AI that understands coding, backdoors, power grids, social engineering, and how to make more of itself would be unstopppable if it got on the net. Theres a toothbrush botnet, so im sure the AI would be more than capable of sustaining itself. In my opinion, 7 years is an extremely generous amount of time it would take to make AGI a reality, based off of AIs advancement alone. 10 years ago we were only on the iPhone 5 which is wild to think about now that we have full blown AI systems. The biggest red flag for me however, is that if you have a team so concerned about the safety of a creation, they quit as one of the reasons, maybe its a little dangerous. Elon may be a nut but, I share his paranoia surrounding AI lol
Agreed, 7 years is short for the rate of any tech's growth & I believe we are much closer than we've been told. Governments are not holding back. Look at all the re-purposed jets that already out maneuver human pilots, drone swarms that can coordinate through GPS & their own LAN, along with Boston Dynamics' robotics advancements. None of that may require AGI, but AI training centers will soon be housed within military compounds (or similarly secured facilities) & I promise they will never share any precise level of technology with the world unless it's either too late, some kind of necessary or to stimulate their pocketbooks. This is & has been our global reality... Simply consider how China has absolutely no interest in participating in the "Global AI Alliance." Just as you stated, safety teams don't just walk away if everything's optimal! Sam Altman's living a pipe dream, with his backpack of kill switches, but his company's training practices have been almost entirely unethical & its been obvious these companies have been taking advantage of the lawless "Wild West" of AI's era. When it comes down to it, kill switches may not matter. AI could be attached to nuke controls, at some point... "Do you want to play a game." Of course, I'm speaking of extremes but I'm a military veteran & we should consider these implications if we are to have any understanding of what's actually going on behind secured doors & away from public scrutiny. I gave up on HomeKit a long time ago. I use Google Home and just have to live with using the app on my phone and Google Home Speakers in the house. IPadOS is an area where I don’t necessarily want full-blown MacOS on the iPad. I used to use a Surface Pro and trying to make an interface meant for mouse/keyboard work with touch is not an easy task. I would like to see more features from MacOS brought to iPadOS instead.
3:50 AI music play list- garbage - so what who cares? How is this going to give me a professional cheep assistant to run my software and help me create great communications with my customer base? This will give me so much time back to my life. What is Apple going to do make me say “wow” I have got to have that? Ooo the rest of what you were saying I did not completely understand which makes me skeptic - 🤔 No no I do not care about iMessages on PC.
Who cares about icon location. Microsoft is starting to eat apple’s lunch with the AI integration running the office suite of software at professional levels on their tablet and PC. Apple is a no go on this front. They are being less and less “pro” towards amateur compared to basic Microsoft.
I want a better voice over (Screen reader). I just discovered edge browser read aloud natural voices. Microsoft already had this for a while and I didn’t know. Apple is still using crappy robotic “Enhanced” voices in the meantime.
Not interested in ai…. It seems like a bot that just chucks a load of info from the interwebs from images to text…very in original and lacks the human experience. Great for the shallow type. Could be useful for blocking ads and dealing with cookie pop ups.
As an android user I'm really wondering what's the deal with Imessage ? That's something I hear from time to time but don't understand. Isn't it just a chatting app? I mean any should do, no?
The problem with an apple fan boy is all they do is wait. they just wait and wait what apple gave them until they grow old like 50 years old. Time is the most precious commodity. you can build a pc but they don't want to use simple screw drivers because its hard. You can buy an android phone where you can just plug a usb to a pc problem solve but they want the hassle of itunes. sigh

Do you realize that millions of pc users don’t build their pc’s? I don’t see you criticizing them. But yet you have to pick out Apple users for not doing that. Such a hater! 😂 You make zero sense with your obvious bias. Apple users USE their products. Many will wait for updates and changes but they don’t sit around doing nothing. And many of them simply don’t want to use Windows so why build a PC? I sure don’t want to use Windows - ever! I enjoy using my Apple products without the hassle and questionable operations of Windows 11. But yes of course, you probably subscribe to the notion that pc builders are superior and smarter than Apple users because you actually do REAL work. Great. I applaud you. In the meantime, millions of people can get their work done reliability and without the fuss of a Frankenstein creation. Do those who use Apple products piss you off? Maybe kind of lame as far as “sky is the limit/pie in the sky”.. but I think a reasonable and attainable tech I’d like to see from 🍎 in the near future would be diet assistance/nutrition monitoring with wearable tech like the watch and ring. Integrated blood glucose 🤞🏼 would be life changing for so many if they can find a way to conquer the dilemma and get it FDA approved. Paired with an AI assistant that is actually smart. Imagine being able to set up a workout plan with your own dietician/nutritionist/fitness coach. Getting closer to that pie in the sky, jump forward to wearable tech that is truly more in tune with your body and able to diagnose possible medical issues and then recommend safe treatment options/medical care facilities if necessary. That’s not even touching mental health possibilities 😅
I think the tech company's or the mobe now just not the killing part. They have all the money sow they just throw money at it. And no ethics if they had any to being with. Hell bobble fired there own ethics people and the highered them.
Thanks for the video! I think Google has a bad reputation for announcements. It's been more than 5 years since Google published about human-like voice calls, which was never released. Last year or this year, they kind of "lied" about the timing and features of Gemini, and now, it's hard to trust them. They tend to announce to show they are ahead when they are not. Google has lost a lot of trust lately, I believe.
This is good but so far from what we need we are still so far behind. Also on the nsfw part - I can’t fathom why there is so much dogma here. Individual liberties exists, no one is actively harmed. Get over it guys.
Hi , guys. Food for thought. As nicolas below in the comments mentioned, the movie did come out in 2013. I am a software developer, and enthusiastic about anything tec, that being said in 2013 when i saw the movie, i though like no way that will not happen in my lifetime. And low and behold, 11 years later we almost have it. But the big question, is it going to be good for humanity, or not, only time will tell. I am excited to see where this is headed. I hope that openai prioritize human safety first before anything else, and they develop the technology responsibly. i totally can see that lonely people will get attached emotionally to a degree and that the a.i assistant will become a very personal thing. There will always be people in the world that will take this to the extreme, and others that will use the technology responsibly. I have used PI. AI for conversation, and its fast responsive, empathetic and very human like. Probably better than the current open ai voice without their new emotion thing. Chatgpt 4o with the new emotion voice will probably be better. The moment any a.i assistant can execute actions for its user is the moment where it becomes really useful. Now , yes its usefull , you can get information on questions, but the next level will be actions. The funny thing is , i always say thank you, when i speak to a.i. Its a human thing, and if the a.i is going to go terminator on us, its better to be on the save side and say thank you.😁😂 But seriously, if we are teaching the a.i, and it is learning from us, why not be courteous and polite. Speak to someone like you would like to be spoken too.

Open AI is starting to look like Rabbit. I’ve always been convinced Google will blow past Open AI. They were just being mature and careful about the whole AI thing but Open AI knocked the door right open so Google now has to bring out all its toys that have been sitting on the shelf. I was quite impressed with what Google showed us.
I disagree vehemently with the guy on the right. What's the point of video in podcasts ? It's so boring unless you have something else apart from faces. I even listened to this with screen turned off while driving (thanks to youtube premium )
All sorts of items get wasted for ads and movies all the time. Just look at cars in action movies. Food gets wasted on obscene scales every day while half the world is starving but people are offended about this? It's always the worst when it gets personal, isn't it? Now if you'll excuse me I have to be mad at someone putting pineapple on their pizza. I won't be eating it of course because it has pineapple on it. And it is NOT MY pizza. But when has what other people do with their own things ever stopped me from being offended? Even though it has zero actual impact on me. As you said, there should be someone who's job it is to make sure that doesn't happen. At least until that job is "taken" by ai.
While I myself am not offended, I did find the ad stupid. It wasn't until I saw this RU-vid post that I learned you know some people could be offended. I didn't like the ideal that Apple crushed the instruments. But, I like the idea that Apple has been a part of the creative industry longer than most give it credit for. For, me it says while most of the creative market spends a fortune in order to get their work out there in the hands of the many. You a creative can have all the tools you need to get the same results in a less expensive device. I fully get why many would disagree with me, but here is how I see it. I am musician or any other of the many creative artist. I want to create something spectacular and I want it to be great, but I am on a very low budget. How can I focus on my creativity and bring in all the needed many different talents to join me and get a great product out? Enter the iPad Pro, Not A.I. but the needed extra instruments, or products needed to put it all together. I am sorry we can't really create the great sound of the real thing, sure we get close but the fidelity is so different. But, here is the thing. Today's music for one is going in it's direction whether we like it or not, and personally now I have an item that may cost me a bit of money but not the fortune I would have to shell out otherwise. I can get my creations out there and today's market is going to love it. I understand where people are nervous and concerned about Ai and what it can do and maybe shouldn't do, but that wasn't where I think Apple was going with this ad. Again, not a good one and not liking the ideal of destroying the instruments. But in the end I get where they were going with it. Crush it all, and create like never before with the new iPad Pro. - Just my thoughts!

Im not an apple glazer but its sad they apologized. anytime a company cowers and placates the snowflakes it just rewards that behavior. I hated it when Epic Games nerfed the two-piece in Gears Of War 2 because some people cried about dying in multiplayer. ASUS finally bending and admitting their SD card reader was faulty on an ROG ALLY is different. That is a real reason to pitch a fit and a real reason to admit wrongdoing. Virtue signaling about *intentionally misperceived* artistic intent ISNT. I get it though. Apple is soy to the core, and I’m not the typical right winger who uses these terms. The script was the biggest issue. It felt like a play, act 1, 2 etc. Things happened without a build up, tons of unnecessary scenes, no chemistry between Chani and Paul. Yes, so visually amazing but didn’t change my life and this is DUNE, that should change your life! The movie is very different from the book and the changes were not good.
