Often referred to as The Sidecar Guys, we (Matt and Reece) are the first people to ever drive around the world by scooter and sidecar. We broke the Guinness World Record for longest journey by scooter and sidecar eight times over, travelling 34,000 miles, through 35 countries and 5 continents we took our Honda SH300I Scooter and homemade Sidecar to some of the worlds harshest environments. Our original scooter and sidecar has certainly seen better days, but we're just getting started. Since completing the trip we've been writing about our travels, editing a documentary of the trip and fine tuning both of our chatty demeanours to tell tales of our time on the road at various events all over the UK. There is certainly more to come though, so subscribe and watch on!
Sidecars are my favorite. I've always loved the Urals but have been hesitant to pull the trigger because of perceived reliability problems. They sure look like a hoot! Hmm?
why did that tiny stream at 6:35 give you guys so much trouble? It looked to be a foot deep, if that. I've heard that the Ural doesn't have alot of torque in 1st gear. Did you get stuck, or was it that you never put it into 2WD?
Sidecars entered my life in 1978 with a Yamaha XS-11 and a Velorex chair. The love affair is still alive in 2024 with a BMW R100 with Unit Earles forks and a Dnepr M72. 20 states so far this outfit.
ik i entered to win but just so you guys know, i cant drive it i am too short. you can keep my money idm. i hope sidecar paradise becomes a thing and maybe one day i can ride in the sidecar with you guys
Great video! Amazing that you could do this with a sidecar.I have a question regarding the scooter (for a scooter solo trip), what parameters should you consider before choosing the right scooter for such a trip? Also, what does break most frequently during such a long trip? Thank you very much! :)
So. How do we do this? Where do we enter on-line? I know that I am slow on the "e" uptake on these things but I don't see what to do next? Oh! ........and my one has to have the sidecar on the right 😂
With a Ural it’s all throttle and very little clutch. Ural has come a long way. I had a 2005 Patrol and I currently own a 2010 Gear Up. My wife absolutely loves it and when I have my frustrating moments with it and mention to my wife, I think I’m going to sell it”, she loudly says,”No!!!” 😄 Ural is the most fun you can have in a motorcycle but it requires allot of tinkering. Not a big deal, it just the nature of the machine. Owning a Ural is a lifestyle. It’s not for the shy type as it’s a magnet for curious folk. It’s all good….
This motorcycle is a legend. There isn't any computer in there. Everything can repair by yourself. My Dad had 3wheels Ural. I was a child and loved ride with him in passenger seat.
The scenery is absolutely stunning, and you didn't trash mouth the Ural. I'm going to take a serious look at getting one for myself. I've been looking at them for a few years now anyway. I had a Globe sidecar hooked up to an old Beemer several years ago, soooooooo. I'm 75 years young, so a sidehack makes sense to me! Have fun on your rides, and yes, make as few rides on the interstates as possible.😂
When you were traveling in the US were you allowed to ride with your sidecar on the opposite side from US regulations and would I be allowed to do the same in Scotland, Ireland,or England with a right hand ( US regulation) Ural???? Great videos.
Nothing to watch .. no content or whatever .. just two clowns in random flashing episodes .. crap!! .. but could easily have been the best adventure movie on this site .. shame .. what a disappointment. 👎
I was watching and wondering .. such a great subject - on a sidecar scooter around the world .. and now those two clowns failed to record anything but their own bright personalities in some random places along the road .. every damn episode just a few min long .. c'mon, dudes .. is it a sort of joke or what?!
Do you sell and supportright hand drive 3x2 wd in the UK? Would love to ownand oerateone here in South Afica. There is a Ural 3x2 world waiting to be enjoyed here. From Desert to Alpine to coastal and true African bush environments to explore. I wan'wun
