The root chunk in Ward 13 requires all 3 DLC. It appears if tou sided with the roon in i think the Root Depths in The Lost Kingdom, then you have to agree to kill the goddess lady in the Awakened King but dont then go kill the king that gives tou a new item, and finaly you plant the crop in the lil root spot and add the item from Awakened King to get a amulet. Kinda shit imo.
Update - I didn't mention the Quantum Memory amulet as I thought it was a random world drop, but either way there is a guaranteed item in the room you plant the seed
Boss rush is really fun and the rewards are great, just wish they added more bosses to the pool. Did 6 runs of the 19 floor one and its the same bosses everytime jud in different order
Currently it is. Shield strike grants a shield using basic swings with the greatsword. Been using the crystal shield tank build with greatsword (and less shock damage. All sank into melee). Sword has been crushing boss rush outside of sha'hala, mother, venom, apoc, and the flying yaesha boss.
They need to make it so people can rejoin on the host if they crash. Had like 3 different crashes, one was at wave 15 with my group. Dont get a dime of xp or rewards. Absolutley fucking frustrating.
Outriders died because you COULDN'T play the damn game at launch. Any time you tried to play the connection shit the bed, and people just got tired of it. By the time they made the damn game playable, people moved on. Space Marine 2 has server issues but you can play more than 2 minutes before the thing shuts off. And you can play offline
There are loads of games that recovered from rocky launches if they have the long term content to support it. I do think SM2 is in a better position but I do think player drop off could be quite high
Broh... go back to destiny. Every point you mentioned is exactly why this game was NOT PLANNED as live service, is just PLAIN OLD FUN like games we enjoyed before the AAA industry decided to ruin games for your generation
Brother I'm old and have been playing since the OG Nintendo. A year long roadmap with seasons and paid cosmetics is relatively new. It's a good game I've enjoyed but I'm also little concerned the matchmaking will die off and not enough people will stick around for the new content
live service doesn't mean that there has to be some 5 year master plan. people gotta chill, this isn't an MMO or a looter shooter, it's barely an rpg. if they aren't adding content consistently enough for you, take a break and go play something else
That's exactly what I do, you can just take a look at the variety on my channel. But I do worry about matchmaking for PVE and PVP and hope the new content every season brings people back for more than a couple days
Boss rush should have been a boss rush not this crap.I want to select the boss and the difficulty not going through random dungeons killing mobs to get to the boss. This is dungeon rush not boss rush.
Pretty sure the devs knew how short the game is (single player & operations), with no 'end game', that is why the level up to 25 is a bit of a grind with useless talents (which in my opinion makes the experience worse). I hope that the sales were as good as I think they were and if they stick with it, in a year or so, the game will have a lot more added content. That's why I am a bit worried when I hear devs talking about space marine 3. BUT! That said... it's ok for a game to not be a 'live service game that will be the only thing you play for the next 10 years'. I liked the game, I 've spend around 50 hours playing the campaign and 2 classes. I might do the other 3 as well, after the first when you master the mechanics its a lot easier, but even if I stopped now, I feel I got my money's worth. And hopefully I can come back to the game in a couple of months to spend another 30 hours or so.
I tend to agree with all that and I'm really looking forward to the horde mode. That said it feels like some of these game want to keep players engaged without having the content to do so and it leads to disappointment eventually. I have enjoyed the game and got my money's worth tho
@@JoPaWrites yeah that doesn't surprise me. I imagine it can be tricky trying to please everyone . Just the audio from your gameplay but lowered in volume a bit would work fine for videos like this. Great content man 👍🏾
No shit? They have twisted the game into that liver service model with classes, arbitrary grind for gear and cosmetics but didn't give it enough content to stay relevant more than the time it will take to unlock everything (which won't take you long). People will quickly stop playing and move on to other things, wich will make the match making harder, which will lead to more people quitting and very soon the game will be empty. Their main objective should have been to turn every possible bits of the campaign into operations, this would have easily doubled or tripled the content available at release which would have been enough to hold people interest for a while, but instead they delivered a barebone live service package, and promised more content for 4 to 6 month later in season 2 which will be way, WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too late (seriously, did they expect people to keep playing the same 6 missions for 6 months?!).£ A shame. But at least unlike Outrider, the base game has a solid campaign and don't lean to hard in the "mmo lite, live service" format so you'll get at least that good 7-8 hour experience out of it.
To be fair I don't think they anticipated this much success and assumed they'd have a smaller die hard fanbase. They've already hinted at doing more than first announced so we'll see, I just want that horde mode as I'll play that a ton
My only gripe with Boss Rush is that I feel like it should drop more relic dust. They added the Prism system which requires a lot more relic dust than you used to need since it incentivises sacrificing Mythic Fragments. After doing Gauntlet on Apoc I only got 230 and it takes a while to finish all 19 bosses. Whereas you can just jump into a map, pick up 15 immediately, reroll, rinse and repeat to get it much faster.
I really like it but the co op for it needs to be redone in a small way. Not being able to join sessions mid game means that most sessions available on the menu just kick you. And this also means if you disconnect you cannot reconnect, and lose all rewards. I played 2 modes and disconnected from the host both times. One was a 3 boss rush, no problem. One was around 15 bosses in to a 19 boss rush, well over an hour long. It really sucks to get kicked from that and not get any rewards
@@JoPaWrites yeah and I don’t even think it was a kick (but that’s annoying too), I think both times I was just disconnected from the host on a loading screen for some reason
Alright here’s what I’ve done to combat that: I always got kicked so I just start up my own and sit in ward til someone joins to play with, usually takes 3-7 minutes or so for full lobby, try hosting it and see what happens
A couple quick updates - I meant to say you get Corrupted Shards during the run which can be used for crafting corrupted weapons, you get that AND Corrupted Crystals. Also the bosses don't drop their weapons but instead have a chance to drop World drops (rings/amulets etc)
It would be better if they added new weapons and armor for players like myself who have literally everything in the game and everything maxed since the boss rush is pointless for people like me. I was hoping they would add some weapons from remnant 1 as a reward but nope boss rush is for the people who haven’t done or gotten everything and for those of us who have everything and I mean everything and everything maxed boss rush mode is just plain pointless which is sad that they didn’t consider to think about the people who already had everything. All the builds I have are already unstoppable in apocalypse and I have a build that melts apocalypse bosses in seconds lol and even if I wanted to try out a new build I’d rather do the campaign then a pointless boss rush that gives me nothing
Yeah for players like you it's more for challenge runs and stuff on max difficulty. I wasn't expecting much new stuff personally but I understand being frustrated
I don’t use my boss melting build only when I play on apocalypse I normally just prefer to play on veteran and enjoy wearing any armor instead of the tankiest armor. But yes the boss rush is very annoying for player like myself and my friend because since we have anything it’s just not enjoyable because we could beat the boss rush hardest mode without even trying with my invoker ritulist build and his invoker archon build we literally are unstoppable lol I still think they should have brought back some of the og remnant 1 weapons like the devastator and eye of the storm or hive cannon as rewards for beating boss rush on hardest difficulty that would have been far better than getting nothing.
@@fogstorm5531not all my builds are like that I have one build that’s set up that way most of my builds are built around invoker/hunter or ritulist/hunter or invoker/ritulist my melt build us invoker/archon it’s op as hell lol plus having everything in the game and having everything maxed helps also lol
Man I made a horrible mistake of horsing around on wave 13/19 and got killed. Don’t get too comfortable like me guys but I honestly don’t mind starting over lmao
@@EinManUYou do it's just rng. Yesterday I finished a trial by fire and my "Deceit" leveled up as a reward for beating Faelin. It's just not guaranteed like normal boss fights
You actually regain your one shots at a small cost! If you go to delete your character there's also an option to reset all campaign progress. This resets your one shots alongside getting rid of your campaign which also includes your Then tree if you have it. So far that's the only real downside I've seen of doing this
@@Zonenkind84 I figured you would. I haven't start anything with the update or dlc because one of my friend's is having a very dumb problem with co-op and nat type making it impossible to join anyone. It's extremely aggravating to say the least
Ritualist and Invoker just require line of sight to hit the enemies now so you can't nuke entire rooms which is fine because invok/ritualist built right was broken
I used a tank build to do a gauntlet on nightmare difficulty, and it fully leveled my warden once I beat it. You still get rewards if you fail, depending on how far you get in the run
Quite honestly I believe the campaign came first and everything else was just extra. So trying to compare it to a live service with loot is already moot. This is just what happens when we get a good single player game in the ever wide abyss of live service games. Y’all are already brainwashed to want to spend more money on a complete game lol.
It's not just about spending money or having loot. Helldivers 2 is a live service and playing enough is how you can upgrade everything and even buy the "paid" battle pass. Ultimately I'm referring to the content delivery method
@@JoPaWrites I still believe we’re stirring a pot that doesn’t need to be stirred. We got a complete game at launch which most live services rarely have which is why they rely on that “trickle feed” content to keep it going. Regardless this isn’t our problem to worry about whether it dies or not.
@@Aightbudd As someone who wants to still be playing this for awhile, it could affect me as it'll make matchmaking worse. But yeah ultimately this is commentary on the evolution of games that want players to stay engaged long term tbh
I was hyped till my no flashlight and no backpack mod stopped working now I don't want to play the game any more I cant stand that backpack I hate it so dam bad on top of my logics mod folder is missing created another one and mods still won't work so yeah my hype us ruined I can't play this game now I'm done till mods work
This really aged like milk didn't it. Looking at the fact that story DLC is a possibility. Also I find it laughable that you claim that the game is dipping its toes into live service games and you think that it wont have the draw that a game like destiny will have and you are correct destiny is more of an mmo than Space marine is. Also Destiny has been out for wath 10 years? Space marine 2 has had a long track record of live service updates that you make your assumptions on right? Right? You aren't just making an ass out of yourself right? Oh wait... I'm sorry that is rude of me. Or you. or most likely both.
Is this AI? Either way I don't think you understood my ultimate point and just decided to be a jerk. I like Space Marine 2 quite a bit but am just a little concerned about it's future as players start to fall off
@@JoPaWrites They sold about 3.8 million copies. I think they are doing just fine with the announcement of story dlc and that space marine 3 is on the table. Maybe just maybe. Support the team instead of spreading unfounded doubt. But wait that wouldn't get clicks I get it now.
