I own a stock S1 from 2015. It's actually quite boring. It'd need 100 more HP to be funnier to drive. I drive mine like I would an A1 or any other day to day car. The speed doesn't impress me, both because it'd need more power, and because I'm used to driving a Suzuki Hayabusa.
@@instagib5085 the handling isn't something I think a lot of. The steering is very accurate. It has a good feel in the steering wheel. It's bumpy. Rain? No idea
The e53 has much better sound/performance.. the a7 is more beasty and looks better at night. The e53 should be compared to the a5. The a7 should be compared to the cls (new shape)
It did well! Although they’ll do this kind of thing they’re not really geared for it. Best on a twisty B road using all the gears & all the rev range. Loads of fun!
What the hell? Is the B9 A5 Sportback heavier than the B8?? B8 A5 3.0 TDI with only 240hp performs about the same. Even better, it only shifts to 7th gear after 240 km/h. Did you kick down the pedal?
Tu as tout à fait raison, J'ai une a5 quattro 211cv tfsi automatique et je vais nettement plus vite de 0 à 100 et également de 0 à 247 km/h sans reprogrammation 😉👍🏼
other 3l motor has stronic gearbox and can be more quick shifting but this motor 272/600nm is a monster and they use zf8hp @@devolderdavid3581 .for a6 they use this gearbox for bitdi 313/320/326ps
These cars are a lot faster than people seem to think at first glance. For a three rowed suv, the 3.0 TFSI's acceleration throws you back in your seat. And the handling can be compared to that of a sporty sedan.
I know these are criticised for being underpowered and they probably do feel it when you drive one now compared to a modern hot hatch, but at least it has an engine in it that you can fully trust and that if looked after, it’ll last you a hell of a long time. I don’t think you can put the same faith into modern engines, as they’re all turbo charged, downsized, and some even 3 cylinders. I’m not slating modern engines at all, I have a MK8 Fiesta ST and I love it, but I definitely think the Duratec engines are much better for longevity than any Ecoboost.
