+ Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
I finally have the answer to this in the first example what's wrong is how he adds the quotient. 1+3 = 4 but he puts it as 13. It's like saying 1 + 1 = 11 The second example he works the problem backwards multiplying instead. What he get's wrong is when multiplying is that for each separate digit numbers carry over since 7 (13 is the same as 13 (7. 7 (3 = 21 7 (1) + 2 = 9 7 (13 = 91 or 3 (7 = 21 1 (7 = 7 typically 21 + 7 = 28 but in this case it's 10 (7 since the 1 of 13 is in the 10s digit 10 (7 = 70 3 (7 =21 70 + 21 = 91 The third mistake is he adds it twice all as the 1s digit so he reads the number as 1 (7 + 3 (7 = 28 but it's not 3 it's 13 so the sequence is 3,6,9,12,15,18,21 then 20 carries over 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, + 20 = 90 90+1 = 91 basically costello thinks 13 is 1+3 not 10+3
I read Costello actually hated math, so that was one funny reason for this sketch. Did you go to school, stupid? Yeah, and I came out the same way, lol. Honestly brilliant 3 way showing of the 13 result.
That’s so classic, after the last time when he has Costello do 13 7 times and he interrupts him and Costello interjects after the 7 - 3’s Were multiplied and proceeded to count from 21 and add all of the remaining 1’s until he came up with 28 . Then the guy just says “ YOU’RE HIRED “. This was the great days of clever and clean comedy and no use for cursing and racial slurs. Just good old fashioned jokes configured in a clever manner that made people laugh and smile. I love these old clips.
Crazy how things were programmed. All these maths equations shouldn't have same answer. They should have the answer based on your own perception. 1+1 is 2, wtf.. should be eleven. When you add 1 to another one you get 11😂
