Hello. I have a few questions. I see that this audio interface has four outputs. Am I correct in assuming that one pair can be configured as outputs 3-4? One of my needs is to send a metronome to the drummer while working with 4-channel playbacks. Also, do you know what additional gear I might need to expand the number of inputs and outputs? And is it possible to configure different mixes for the headphone outputs? I’m looking to buy a single device that can handle both live performances and recording. If everything aligns, I’m seriously considering purchasing it. Thanks!
looks fantastic! can anyone explain to me how to have more than 4 monitor mixes AND how to route these monitor mixes? is it possible to route 2 monitor mixes to the 2 headphone outs and any additional mixes to pairs of line outs (like Outputs 1&2) and connect those to a headphone amp? i hope this question makes sense and someone can answer! thanks a lot!

I have read that there are some problems with compatibility, I have Surface 9 with Thunderbolt 4, but I read that it is only compatible with Thunderbolt 3. Otherwise, I don't know if there is a conflict over USB since the specs indicate that only USB 2.0 and 3.0. and my surface has usb 4.0. Do you know anything about it?
Nice video! Would it be possible for you to make a video on effect chain for spoken word for live streaming or similar? I feel like I've got it pretty well dialed in, but I have a feeling that some of the effects I'm using are sometimes clipping, even though the mic preamp itself nor the output is clipping.

Does this one also have all the Realtime AFX bugs? I think it does ... like buttons that acts weird in Gyratec EQ and weird phase issues in the Auraverb for instance (Yes i reported all these issues almost 1,5 years ago and again and again with Antelope support!)I am sure the basic sound is fantastic, great pre's, good conversion and clocking. Too bad that the realtime fx plugins has so much bugs as well as the stability of driverers. Just one more thing, Antelope please remove the noise of the buttons!
they are a scamming company whit good converters but poor drivers and firmware which means you cant work seriously mix and mastering whit out bugs latency and sync problems that disconnect the device from your computer whit no reason has for afx 2daw its pure scam that brings more latency to the game and in plus they have the native versions of the same plugins and wont give it to the afx2daw users that have been victims on the scam the only thing ok are the mic preamps
Not on this model no, I believe its on the zen tour though. However you can use a plugin like “muteomatic” on a talkback microphone plugged in to one of the analog or digital inputs, and then it’ll silence the microphone whenever the DAW recognises playback (or recording only or other rules). And you can set up a microphone for a drummer to talk back, which has a sidechain gate thru AFX, for clear communication during louder sessions.

Most excited about the side-chaining for ducking. Please provide an explainer video showing which plugin(s) can do the necessary side-chaining, and how to configure and use such a setup. TY
All technical abilitys are great. Im using Zen Go and Edge Solo and Verge mics, its very good but I need more inputs and outs. My next choice it will be Zen Quadro and more of Antelope mics.
I've noticed that higher ratios actually make the recording louder and lower ratios make it *softer*. I usually expect the opposite because you're getting more gain reduction with the compression engaged if the ratio is high, so you'd expect to never go beyond a certain dB level, and that a lower ratio should leave more room for transients and a wider dynamic range (literally, less compressed). But this particular compressor seems to work "in reverse" to what I'm used to. Am I missing something or what? :)
Thanks guys - this was an awsome presentation! I love to see a second episode. Some guy asked if he could use the Orion studio for DA and this model actually has 2 x 8 tascam line out so 16 outs. Let me just add to the "get started on a budget" : I use the original Antelope Zen Tour which has 8 line outs, 2 monitors and the 2 reamp outs at max volume. (Antelope Discreet 8 also has the same layout) These 12 outs works fine for me on 7.1.4 and I use the Sonarworks for time alingment and eq correction. I use the Ginger Audio Sphere as Monitor Controller and I put the Sonarworks plugin on the Sphere Atmos Master out - making all audio inputs eq'ed and time aligned - without any manual SW textfile imports. Simple and cost effective - but I agreed completely with Todd that a staright line can sometimes feel artificial or lifeless. Thanks again guys!
Yeah, I was mistaken. The Orion Studio SC DOES have 16 analog outputs. Official word from Bulgaria is that they're definitely exploring the possibility of incorporating Immersive Functionality.
Funny enough, 2 days later they sent me a beta of Surround Functionality for the Orion Studio SC and it's working perfectly well. Should released very soon!
Great chat. Couple of things to note maybe not realised by the presenters. Re. Dolby Atmos Binaural playback on Stereo speakers, this is a thing already in Dolby Atmos decoding when using the AC4-IMS stream from Apple, Tidal, Amazon etc. For Android tablets, phones and laptops wuth stereo speakers playing the AC4-IMS, Dolby Atmos will run that binaural through a Cross Talk Cancellation (Like a R.A.C.E recursive filter) so the binaural stream is presented as 180 degree Atmos sound field on those devices. In the AC4 Dolby Reference player Dolby call this Dolby Atmos Speaker Virtualisation and you choose the degrees your speakers are apart to best reference how Dolby Atmos binaural will sound on those stereo speakers. The one huge advantage Fiedler Dolby Atmos has over ProTools and Renderer is their panner is fullly immersive. ie it's upto 9.1.6 panner so if you are recording fully immersive you can control that. ProTools doesn't support it. Also Fiedler has built in master bus processing through a plugin called Gravitas which is quite unique. If you add Spacelab you also have full object-based Reverb too. ie the object is part of the Reverb calculation, not like a Liquidsonics or traditional static multichannel reverb is.
