As everyone has pointed out NRL is endurance sport but go back 30 plus years and it was brutal blood bath. Pro footballers trained during the week but it wasn’t uncommon to see them running behind garbage trucks for hours on end throwing out rubbish. To see the difference watch the beginning of the Staye Of Origin and you’ll get what I’m talking about.
Here after the 2024 origin opener, ashley Klein sends off a nsw player for a controversial tackle, (shoulda been 10 in the bin) then misses a hip drop tackle on the Queensland side which affected nsw player. Then qld can cause 3 or 4 6 again infringements in their defensive 20, no warning or send off, qld players constantly holding up the ruck, no penalties. Ruined what was other wise a great game, how is he still refing, must have nudes of ceo's
Mundine is right, old school stock standard, need to harden up, don't cry like a pussy, say something back, black fellas call each other nigger every day on the streets of America, if it'was a white dude, well, he would be subject for special treatment from the opposing forward pack if you know what I mean, bit of on-field justice and that's how you sort it out, if you want to play the game hard than yeah...harden up!!.
He is boooed because of the way he plays. He is a grub - plain and simple. But he likes to blame the booing as a race reason. It's not. It is him....not his race. He is just a dirty coward.
Two different games. Both have a physical, hard hits component. But Rugby league has lots of movement and quick thinking. The same players attack and defend. It is played with very few breaks in play. NFL is much slower and the moves are usually planned. Separate teams for attack and defense and lots of breaks in play. To be honest its a bit too slow paced for me but I am from Australia so grew up playing League.
Strickland sounds like a person who has never played the game and thinks he knows all about the game. I wonder how long he or an NFL player would last with no pads or helmet doing attack and defense for 80 mins nonstop. I recon he would last less than 5 mins on the field and would want a rest.
Send Sean to play against the Kumuls and he will be iced bath twice! Sean doesn't know how much NRL players put up after 80 to even 100 mins with few breaks. We love our rugby league the Greatest Game of all!
I’m 40yrs old now and the only guy I can remember back then was Mundine speaking up , But not only he was playing awesome footy to represent his team , Mundine was representing his culture
What is this guy on about, their players are just skinny little kids with massive gear on but nrl players are all massive guys with no gear, we wouldn’t just run rings around them, we’d bump them and then run rings around them

Latrell just has to silence the noise and put in the work! It's true with the performance of his current game and the lack of discipline he currently possess but he has to choose whether he wants it more or not! It is reminded the game is constantly changing and players coming up are getting smarter and athletic. However it all boils down to "Work Ethic"! I still have trust he can be the best. He just to take it step by step and remind himself why he is there.
This is happening most of the time these days. Klein is not the only ref committing boo boos but klein is the leader of them. The bunker is a waste of time because they should be allowed to inform the ref of any misdemeanours during play and for tries. Over the last few years the game is turning into touch football calls are much to be desired and the bosses of NRL have interfered too much in the game itself. Go back to the old way when men were men and the refs knew what the game was about.
PNG when it comes to League always think they are better than Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. However. When it comes to World Cup they are nowhere to be seen. I guess they are stiil busy boating they are no 1 and forgot they are going home early………. Ouuuuuch

The best thing to do is nvent a League where half the Season American Football teams play Rugby against Europeans and other half of season Europeans play American Football against USA. Then you'll see who is best,Rugby and Rugby players or American Football.
