In the UK context, this is absolute nonsense. Survivors are not arrested, they are removed to a safe place and provided with care. They are not deported: under the National Referal Mechanism they are entitled to up to 90 days of recovery, during which time they can make a claim for asylum. Their claim is not dependant on cooperating with the police although they can if they wish. They are offered psychological trauma support and free legal help. As for "no positive consequences" - if you're being raped multiple times a day, you would probably see being removed from that situation as a positive consequence. Many of these women are closely guarded and have no prospect of escaping on their own. Are we actually supposed to believe that leaving them to be raped (and often beaten) is the best outcome for them?

"He doesn't have the means to get home". He doesn't need to get home. He just needs to get out of that crummy work site. Once outside, he'd be able to find a real job. I don't get it. I could literally be homeless, with no car, no money, and i guarantee you i could work myself out of homelessness to back to having a stable lifestyle.
