Latin America can be counted on for one thing. To fall victim to its own success. Good times come, some people do really well, some don’t, and those who don’t elect some tin pot dictator who promises them fairness, then it all gets destroyed.
The sky is falling! The government has broken this country. At what point do you people understand the government has taxed the people to death. Where do you go next for money. Just sell it to China we are doing that with everything else. Because it doesn't seem that no one knows how to balance a check book anymore. But I know what is happening to mine.
He was friggin joking. He made a point of saying so. But it is hilarious that days after tRUMP's fake work day at McD's they had a huge E. Coli outbreak. It's just a metaphor for what another tRUMP presidency would mean for our country
I’m confused, are the people that own the birds refuse to feed them because they’re broke? If that’s the case what is stopping the farmers and handlers from selling these birds their purpose
This is so sad and makes me angry too. The farmers are suffering, the chickens are suffering. The taxpayers in one state will suffer. What a huge mess. Pure Prairie execs should go to jail. I am in WI and think it is horrible our republican led government here is not doing a better job.
These are meat birds, very different from backyard chickens. You mentioned they were nine days without food. Pure torture for a meat bird. I once had to skip a day of feeding my meat birds, just one day, and they were ravenous. They have to eat all the time. They fall asleep with their beak in the food dish. This must have been a nightmare situation for those 1000's of chickens.
The beef on dairy is lurking out there. Dairies are painted in a corner and looking for ways to increase revenue with embryo transfer of prized beef genetics in to dairy cows. They’ve always bred every year, but a dairy breed sold as beef, or a cross isn’t the prime beef market. They like them big, black, and obese. The problem with a cow calf operation, is your feeding those cows, and while they may give you good calves, if you can get the calves and milk, it’s better.
In West Central Iowa a large ethanol plant is calling farmers hunting for a price that will buy any corn for December delivery. the buyer told us that it's been hard to get bought even at a price that is above their published price.
Are we sure Ag is in a recession ? Sounds more like a re- structuring or re- alignment of global buyers and sellers . The historical narrative was the United States would feed the world. I think the new narrative that emerging agricultural markets can grow quality grains a lot cheaper and can be efficient . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7D6qu-8n7Iw.htmlsi=VUasdliiUDYJQjpO
Brazil grains are only a part of the story. Brazil can grow 2 grain cycles per season , not just one. The soon to open Chancay port in Lima , Peru will get corn and beans to China earlier than before, and Brazilian can buy agricultural equipment at a fraction of the price than other manufacturers. But most importantly , China can buy and pay with multiple currency forms and avoid the SWIFT system . Brazil is not a difficult to access country, as the country has awesome access to the China 56 GPS satellites , ( the 31 US satellites don't cover Brazil as well ) , buys EVs from China, and China has broad access to the rural Brazilian education system .
Remember when the American taxpayers had to give 998 million to Brazil cuz we was giving our Farmers so much welfare their Farmers couldn't compete with us the American Farmer highest paid welfare recipient on Earth
That is a great option! In Minnesota, we hadn't started or were just starting to combine so it was extremely limited in the acres available to do this. Many of the sites had been starved so long that the chickens were eating each other already. It also gets cold at night and rounding them up to bring them back into barns when they've never lived outside a barn could pose issues. It came at a bad time and was an emergency situation. I'm hoping those that picked the chickens up can utilize measures that benefit the livestock and the ground.
If the birds are young enough that might work but a fast growing Cornish cross breed cannot walk when it gets closer to butcher age. They literally can’t walk and will not be able to move around to find the pieces of feed. They are not like regular chickens that range around. I’ve raised several batches of Cornish cross meat birds, they are sickly, bald, crippled and get “bed sores” from lying on their breasts so much. And they do not forage.
Considering China has organized the BRIC consortium as a group of global " customers" , the US farmer is in a position of belonging to unorganized suppliers selling to organized buyers . With inflation and higher input costs , the farmer shouldn't look to retire any time soon
....... The sky is falling😮 Please like and share this video!!! If you spend 25 seconds and get straight to the point instead of saying it's urgent, i would have watched the video. I watched parts of it, but what is the main point please?
It doesn't reconcile.. but a few good years in a row of high crop prices and good yields can create alot of liquidity in farm operations that already have a strong working capital. Get a few farms like that and a some non-farm investors at a auction and it will push prices high.
Iowa owns millions dollars worth of chickens now. Will find a place to process and collect money. They are making farmers and feed suppliers whole in the meantime. good leadership.
Well, I hope whoever is buying 1 dollar chickens realizes these are meat birds and not your backyard egg laying variety. They are harvested at a very young age, and are not suited to long lives.
Everyone one I have seen involved were experienced. They make it sound like these people have never had chickens. Most have been moved to Amish bitchers and processed in backyards. Another failure of Big Ag saved by small farmers.
This guy obviously has a track record of picking losing business opportunities. Seems to me we need to quit growing corn and maybe use our land for food production?? Farmers are getting farmed👎.
