I don't have barely anything at my dollar store but got lucky at an auction and bought about 150 7 day candles and 4 inch candles in all colors and different types for 25 dollars. I was so happy lol.
I'm gonna be blunt, if it's on tiktok it's fake. It's not uploaded to any other platform with a detailed explanation, it's fake. If it's presented as the only way to do something, it's fake. There might be a handful if actual witches on tiktok, but they are the vast minority. The real practitioners get the fewest of views because they have only seconds to convey a topic they've like spent months or more learning about. These fake witches spend maybe five minutes and then post like they're the authority on the subject. Tiktok is a dumpster fire.
I think everyone has their own way of practicing and I have seen some very interesting new ways of doing things on there but I do agree that sometimes a lot of what I see doesn’t hold up. I try to stay off Tik Tok myself unless I’m doing something for my business. But I have to admit I rarely do tik toks .
I’ve noticed a lot of misinformation on TikTok. I’m a reiki practitioner and some that claim to be trained in reiki do things that are totally not part of what I was taught 🤷🏼♀️
Loved every single thing you said in this video. I started in the craft as a teen just like you. Built up my tools over the years but started with the bare basics and it worked just fine.
I get so passionate about it because so many people will see it and think they can’t do anything. I wanted to try to counteract that as much as possible
I found the fabric at Joanne’s Fabric several years ago. I’m not sure if it’s still available now or not. I don’t believe I ever did a tarot cloth tutorial but would be happy to do one soon. Thanks for watching!
For me I use snake skin primarily to push away something or get rid of something. I will often use egg shells, red pepper flakes, cayenne, thorn or nails . Things like that to make a protection jar or to put around my property.
I have that black star fabric! I learned to make these from the witch of wonderlust and I love it so much. I ALSO make my matsHUGE because I keep my deck in its box in the mat sooooo but ANYWAYS I love your fabric choices! Wonderful video! Happy witchin ❤️
There definitely is a Botswana agate, but I couldn't see your stone closely enough to identify it I've never seen a candle snuffer anything like yours. How does it work? I absolutely love your idea for using a make-up bag for a travel altar. I've been looking at various boxes, because the tiny box I'm using just isn't big enough. if I'm going to be away from home for a while, I want to take along some herbs, crystals, salt, spices, herbs, candles, tiny empty bottles, matched, a lighter, etc. etc., and they won't all fit in the little palm sized box I started out with I know there aren't truly that many things that are "must" haves for the craft, but there are a lot of things that I personally consider musts for myself. There are some things like cinnamon, bay leaves, lavender, and mugwort that I just don't want to be without. I'm going to start checking out the makeup bags next time I go to the thrift store. I love repurposing things for magickal uses!
Your witches bells look great. I picked up those same gnomes towels last year, but they didn't have the mugs. My son was super hyperactive when he was little. When I had to give him antihistamines he'd really bounce off the walls. I finally figured out that since he reacted the opposite of normal people (who get drowsy from antihistamines) to give him coffee to calm him down. It worked!
