I like to think that this isn't just Nightmare 'singing' to Dream, but corrupted Nightmare 'singing' his younger uncorrupted self. The one who refuses to open up his eyes, who is still reaching out to be by Dream's side despite it all, deep down inside.

Holy shit I just stumbled upon this and my god this is GUTWRENCHING. to watch but done so damn well. You're artstyle is so good and so unyielding in delivering this, I had to pause a few times just to process like holy cow I don't think I've EVER seen anyone make Nightmare this genuinely terrifying to me and it hurts so much to see all that he did to hurt Dream in this but its such a good animatic T-T💕

I love how Nightmare just sits down and holds Dream in his lap. It shows how huge he is compared to Dream. It's also goofy because he keeps picking him up by his head and giving him a little tour around the battle sight like "These 'yo dead friends? These 'yo fallen comrades? Fuckin' loser." *throws Dream on the ground*
I just LOVE this animations. People keep saying that Nightmare's behavior is canonical here. I that's SO TRUE. I mean what else should we expect from the guy covered in concentrated negative emotions? He is evil itself! I keep rewatching this animation every time I see it in recommendations. Music and emotions fits right well! Thank you for this work!

What’s funny is that canonically, if this were to happen, 2 issues: 1: Dream would be MELTING AWAY at nightmare’s touch. 2: Nightmare is technically the size of a child Coming back to this after long time later to clarify: idgaf abt these things, this is a FKING MASTERPIECE- Maam or Sir can I eat your art 😭
