The young composer, musicologist. Study music of the 20th century in directions - romanticism, avant-garde, minimalism. I am inspired by the fusion of music and cosmology. Of favorite composers may cancel Russian Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky, Scriabin and the French Ravel, Debussy, Poulenc, as well as musicians of the minimalist Adam Jones and Steven Reich and modern popularizers of Philip glass and Hans Zimmer.
One of my ALL TIME favorite compositions. While 21:20 is such a classic portion, 28:50 is the REAL part of the piece that tells it all. Amazingly, the tempo is slower than most recordings, but it allows you to hear all of the magnificence of this work. At this tempo, you can hear every aspect of the articulation... and the orchestra doesn't get all "tangled" together, trying to play their parts. This is a great recording. THANKS FOR SHARING. I'm guessing it was recorded in the late '60s ????
Thank you so much, this underrated concerto deserves much more recordings. 1:15 - 2:44 is one of best piano solo openings to a piano concerto. That melody is so flowing and speaks directly to the heart.
