I’ve been cutting my own hair for two months now because $30-$40 for a basic haircut is just too much. Clippers, patience and online tutorials are much cheaper. 🤷🏻♂️
Great tutorial. Too many young guys take no interest in their appearance or their beards..I have grown every kind of beard and mustache and I use clippers to keep it's length but I use a straight razor for the final tune up..huge difference in your before and after pics...much more classy!
Thank you so much brother I had a horrible experience at great clips in Vegas in summerlin where this woman used a cheap clipper on me and a dull blade. It was yanking my hair out and I literally said you know this is hurting pretty bad. She thought it was a joke and I just didn’t say another word. In my mind I said this is the last time I’m letting anyone do my hair but me. Thank you for this video I have never been back and probably save a few hundred dollars a year if not more
i got to the point i can do it myself without a mirror ( besides after to check ) i just start from ears size 0 go right around to other ear and work my way up from the sizes until ireach the crown ( i use beard trimmer so its a thinner width )
Video looks great. I had a ? re: the guard lengths. If you set it a number (say number 3), and you use that for the sides and the middle, won't it all be the same length in the end? Why use a shorter number on the longer parts?

I’ve watched your videos on and off for a few years now, almost getting the courage to do this but not quite there. The news that my barber would be unavailable for around 1-2 months with my hair already reaching beyond comfort made me try. Your technique of reassurance and demonstration made me feel much better about the first few passes. By the time time I got to the first side, I did as suggested and started with the thickest clip and worked down to comfort level. While I didn’t follow the same lengths as you, I did have a fantastic result. Thank you and looking forward to many more trims.🎉
