DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PERSON!!! I had to change my dates because my children's school started back a week earlier than expected. It changed my rates so drastically that I could no longer afford to go on vacation for the intended amount of time. I pleaded with the host to let us come for a shorter amount to time within the days we had already booked and she refused to work with me at ALL and kept the entire amount I had paid! $1755!! Now, my family doesn't get to go on vacation AND we are out $1755! She also tried to keep the pet deposit of $200!! She is a terrible person!
DO NOT BOOK ….she listed the wrong price, and when the dates changed she doubled the price and REFUSED even a partial deposit as well as REFUSED to let my family stay for a shorter trip so we didn’t loose $2000. I’ve had to cancel trips last minute with hosts before and they worked with me. This was only canceled because she doubled the price when we had to change the dates and therefore were unable to afford her rates, that SHE MADE THE MISTAKE OF LISTING INCORRECTLY. This host refused to and contributed to ruining my family vacation.
This one has a more homey feel to it. I think I also came across Mermaid cottages on visittybee.com/vacation-rentals while checking out tybee island rentals for our trip to Savannah next month. Will definitely consider staying here for a night :)

Ahoy, Michelle M Tucker Our Dog Park is not open at this time because Tybee Island is building a new Police Station, right next door. Our neighborhoods are great places to walk dogs and Ft Pulaski is also a great resource (not to mention several great dog parks in Savannah). Though it was mid January, we enjoyed sunshine while exploring Tybee and then we enjoyed our cozy, rambling cottage when relaxing and winding down. The cottage itself is just wonderful - oh so clean and beautifully decorated. Love the vibrant colors used throughout and the pristine white bedding which is as comfortable as it is inviting. Other pluses are easy access to internet, detailed instructions for the tv's, knowing the Mermaids are only a call away. The location of Blues Away is just a short walk from the beach and also just a couple of blocks away from Sundae Cafe. There are several spots in the fenced in yard (a white picket fence) to sit and also a screened in porch. We had seen pictures of Blues Away; it was even better in real life. Can't wait to go back for more oysters and crab cakes !"
I've stayed here four times. Great location on island. Great neighborhood. Bicycles included - park your car! Interior is airy and comfortable. Kitchen fully equipped. Excellent laundry facilities. Many private "nooks" afford privacy for all. Large center room easily holds a dozen folks. Super-clean.
