Excellent video, this helped me make the final adjustments on my microphone placement when I wasn't so sure, and as someone who's insanely indecisive, this was a lifesaver! I also loved the 'you're supposed to sound like you're in someone's head' analogy, thanks dude.
I am planning to purchase the Focusrite Voicemaster Pro. I am looking for the right cables to connect it to any kind of speaker. Please tell me what kind of cables or what type of speakers it supports. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
@@kingpaco87 Hi! I have no experience with the channel strip. Heads up- I don’t believe that’s an audio interface, if that’s what you’re looking for. The Vocaster 2 is plenty enough for that. Usually, to connect to monitor speakers, 2 balanced trs cables are used. That’s what I use on the Vocaster 2.
@@DaveSoltura The difference between Vocaster 1 and Vocaster 2 is that number one is for hosting, like a guitar, and number two is for being a guest, so you can play guitar and sing. I was thinking of buying number one because I only talk to people when I play my game. Is number one good enough for me? And why did you choose number two? I need to know.
@@DaveSoltura "I wish I could talk to you in person because it would be easier than texting. I'm not good at explaining things through text. Can we find a better way to communicate instead of going back and forth through messages? I'm finding it difficult to explain things clearly by writing."
yo dude. would you still recommend the AM8 over the k688? Or what's your opinion on that now? money is not tight for me between those two microphones. my main concern is which one has better sound quality overall. one important thing is that my voice is on the lower side
Hey thanks for your video!! It did convinced me to go for the k688! How can I be sure Im buying the 2023 version?? Id like the black one but idk if its going to come with the updates or not
@@victornguyen2480 That’s already a fantastic mic! It wouldn’t be an upgrade- more of a switch to a different mic type. The Quadcast S is versatile. The K688 is slightly better and rejecting background noise, but you have to bring your mouth much closer. I wouldn’t make the switch if I were in your place, unless noise is very much an issue.
Hi :) I was wondering about the Fifine A9. I can’t seem to find a video on it anywhere? It’s being sold at my local tech store but i can’t seem to find any english videos about it. Do you happen to know anything about this model?
Hi! It came out very quickly after the A8 plus. I never got to review it, but I’ll ask Fifine and see if they’re interested in me reviewing it. At first look though, seems like a reskin of the A8 plus, since it shares its page with the A9 on their website. You can check my A8 plus video to get a similar idea since features are the same: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xeBvf_9a0Zk.htmlsi=VZX0FxOvjf1KpjRA
Nothing like that. But my old video had AMPLITANK on the top left of the box. New one has Fifine on the top left. That might help with black models. All white versions are new.
I have a goxlr but I don’t have a xlr mic I only have the quad cast s white mic and am to broke to get a mic I wanna get do you think it be good to get that mic pair with the goxlr? Or do you recommend something else
Connected via usb, which turns on the light. Cranked the gain of both the mic and headphones all the way down. Attached the mixer/interface via xlr, and chose that as my audio source. :) So the usb just powers the light.

I have this micFIFINE XLR/USB Dynamic Microphone for Podcast Recording, PC Computer Gaming Streaming Mic with RGB Light, Mute Button, Headphones Jack, Desktop Stand, Vocal Mic for Singing RU-vid-AmpliGame AM8
I want to buy the Focusrite Vocaster Two USB-C Podcasting Audio Interface because it has preset settings, which will make it easy for me to set up the sound. I prefer not to deal with manual setup. Can you please assist me with this?
i got not too long ago this mic, and the noise is SO BAD (on usb), idk if something is wrong with my mic. i just bought a good quality xlr cable and the fifine sc3 mixer, and i hope this solves it, because it is some REALLY bad noise edit: and i would like to know what do you make to have such a high quality audio with this mic, because mine is more like a 20 dollar mic quality. as i said, i hope with xlr it solves my problems, because i am really disappointed.
@@DaveSoltura i do talk really close, with not so high volume, the noise im talking about, is not like background noise... it's more like some noise u would expect from a bad mic... or something like that lol. and this noise happens even with the mic muted completely, like, 0% sound and mute button. it just has a really bad noise it sounds like an interference of some sort, idk how to explain it lol
@@ahpisthebest we may have had a similar experience. This older video of mine talks about the broken usb sound. Is it like this? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IxlJRg2WmxM.htmlsi=8nDvHDmMYrYYdamJ
@@DaveSoltura fortunately, it's not the same problem haha the noise im talking about is more like there is a fan directly pointed at the mic in the background noise (and believe me, when i equalize my mic, it becomes REALLY loud, kinda like a cheap mic). and i have a fifine a6v mic (condenser usb mic), and it doesn't have that same kind of background noise, which is strange, since a condenser mic should pickup MORE noise. im confused. edit: forgot to say it, but the background noise like cars and people talking in the background is not really loud, it's what u should expect from a dynamic mic, so it confuses me even more on why the hell there is this "fan noise" kinda thing edit 2: now that i searched for some static noise in yt, it does sound kinda like a VHS white noise sound effect lol (but like... in the background)
@@ahpisthebest ah! That fan noise is what you would call preamp noise. So both the mic, and headphones, have some kind of noise, as you boost their gain. If you listen to the mic using the headphone port on the mic itself, you’re introducing even more noise to what you hear back. The headphone preamps aren’t that clean. If you listen via speakers or your monitors, you’ll only hear the mic’s “fan noise,” but through cleaner playback. It should be less than the noise of both combined.
@@akabu21 If you need to scream a lot, it’s the better option with a higher max spl of 130db versus the Am8s 120db. If not, the AM8 is good enough for most content creation use cases!
@@DaveSoltura i know but did you have to make the white one look so nice haha you made the black metal k688 sound so sxc in the other videos is why i got it lol
You’re right!! I suddenly remembered how underwhelmed I was at the absence of a tripod. Happy to report this is the heavy duty tripod that comes with the K669d!
