Gold is ITZY first repackage album, this is essentially Born to Be repackaged with Lia and some new tracks this is how JYPE does repackage albums they ad 3-6 new tracks plus a repackage mini album.

Different is still us (reminds of Dalla Dalla which means Different Different) Yeji - Imaginary Friend - Seems to recall Loco from Crazy In Love and other MVs with stuffed dolls (Loco, Bet On Me and Run Away). Also Algorhythm with maker theme except here Yeji remade the doll. Ryujin - FIVE - Reminds a bit of SugarHolic (heat and alone but group), None of My Business (summer heat and group vibes), Bet On Me and Run Away (Room vibe) Lia - Gold - Reminds of Sneakers and Loco (dressing and shoes). Also Wannabe with the chicken feet (destroyed feather pillow) Chaeryeong - Supernatural- Reminds of Ringo with her own world with the mini house. May recall Mine too. Yuna - Bad Girls R Us - Recalls of Dalla Dalla line "Bad bad, I’m sorry I’m bad I’m just the way I am" and Wannabe "Look in the mirror, loving what I see Don’t hold me back, ‘cause I’m just living free." She even looks in the bathroom mirror and does the face up.pose Ryujin did. New Era new reboot (hence Different)
@@steffengoelitz I was also thinking of something probably entirely unrelated but coming out around the same time. Silent Hill 2 a character named Angela can see her apartment in flames all the time due to her perspective which the supernatural power of Silent Hill brings forth.
If anything Lia's redoing her bad little rich girl acting from Wannabe making a mess in her shoe closet just like she made a mess of the dining room table in Wannabe. There were no references to be found in this trailer for Sneakers or Loco or any songs outside of the songs on the IT'Z trilogy. If you look at the lyrics to Dalla Dalla you can pretty find a close reference to most of this trailer. Down to Lia's tag "My standards are different" and the lyrics she sings about not being measured by other people's standards. Yeji sings that she will live her own life her way and don't care about it. She has the line in the chorus that says "just pretty not attractive at all" so her "aesthetic is different". Chaeryeong has lyrics that she isn't looking for love and just wants to have fun. "Her perspective is different". Yuna singing about being bad is just the way she is, etc etc etc. "Her expression is different" No need to look far to find what this trailer is referencing. "Hey we told you we are different, did you forget ?"
Itzy is my comfort group as well, i listen to their songs and everything is easier. If im feeling down i rewatch their videos, just great vibes. Cant wait for the new release ❤.
IT’z Different is the name of ITZY’s debut single album, and debut song, Dalla Dalla meaning different, so it’s a call back that they began different and they’re still different, I’m so excited!!!

this was during their performance in JYP's 30th Anniversary event which you should definitely check out, they performed Feel Special and What Is Love as 6 members. Misamo was in Japan for their comeback at the time
I'm a broken record, but recommending Nmixx Tiny Desk performance again. The vibe is really unique, playful, and impressive in a way that I haven't felt from other live K-Pop stuff.
It comes out on the 15th *EXCEPT* USA and UK it comes out the 25th (we got shafted again, not as bad as B2B which released for USA after promotions and world tour started but still). So if you want that you would need to order an Korean version or something.
Sorry not Sorry was released on the Guess Who album (Mafia in the Morning), it was during covid. There were no fans there, but it was live streamed. So not the same showcase as Bet on ME it was 2 years earlier.
Bet on Me was written by JYP for them based on interviews each member had with staff after they released Checkmate and before they went on tour and after they came off tour. He used the information they shared to write song lyrics that reflected what each member had said they were feeling and thinking and where they were at emotionally.
