Wow, this far and above the best tutorial for making a custom receptacle using the out of the box ones in Revit. Explaining how to save each step is everything, thank you!!

I have a wall that is wavy, created a model from a spline, then created a wall from that, how do i create voids in walls that have curves/splines in them?
For the life of me, I can not figure out how to add another label that is also located in the family parameter exactly like the gfci is. I want to add another label that work exactly like the gfci label but obviously different text. I can add labels all day, but they never show up in the parameters drop down like “LABEL” does. Can you help?
Did you add additional parameters? Click the symbol in the top left that has the four blue boxes. That will show you the parameters in the family. you have to add more to have them show up in the label parameter selection. Click on the existing label parameter and hit the pencil at the bottom. take note of the parameter settings. use the same settings when creating a new parameter. after the new parameter is added it will be available in the label parameter selections. If you want to change which label is visible, that is a whole other beast.
Finally somebody explained how to do these returns. Its like you are the only one on youtube who knew how to do this. I will be watching the rest of your videos.
I like the way you say "Hover here, Click, hover here Click" kinda funny, reminds me of the Despicable me 1 where the gru plays with the girls with tea party "Cling, and Cling". Overall, really good tutorial, thanks. :D
Jay Im real new at this... when you click on component, you are given a drop down with two options... one being the model inplace I;m running revit LT 2018.. i dont see that option...???
New revit user here... self learning. Ive watched many vidoes... some are useless. It would seem that some people are more interested in showing how fast they can move their mouse and click than in teaching... Your video shows you to be an excellent teacher....
Thank you so much Jay!! This is the only video online explaining this roof area. I can not find this information any where online or in a text book. Jay, you been a real help and keep up the great videos. I will be watching them as well.
