On this channel, I explore tarot, film, books, and life. Thirty-something, drama therapist, and spiritually inclined. I'm not an authority on anything. I just want to explore themes and engage community. Thanks for witnessing.
@@ninecoinsfromsatu Just got the deck, the images are so alluring already even after perusing the images. Cliche to say, but very powerful. Can't wait to hit the guidebook.
It's so funny how decks that don't work for others can be completely loved by someone else (like in regards to Gill for you). Also congrats on your deck! I did buy the Sistine Tarot but I have to wait for it to come now lol.
Enjoyed your mid-year checkin. 💚 I'm late to the party on Archetypes too because... I got it ages ago and am only really diving into it now-ish? Sylvie making a video about it got me to pull it out and use it again. It's a cool one. Feels summery in a way to me too.
Love love love this, this decks art is so beautiful. I’m the type of tarot reader who loves oracles as much as tarot, helps me focus on channeling as suppose to reading the cards
I do love the idea of assigning the tarot archetypes to the soul cards. I thought about doing this myself. But regarding titles, I personally would not do that in order to maintain the integrity of the original intention of the decks. As you were talking, I did start to feel that tarot archetype energy for the majors, and it felt like it added an extra layer for me intuitively to work with these cards. I especially liked the card you chose for the hierophant. And how it brought in a more spiritual guidance energy rather than a religious energy. I look forward to seeing what you do with the minors. Great video!
Hey Teshonne!! 🫀I clicked on your video so fast. I *love* Soul Cards!! 💜💙I have seen other videos where people have turned their deck into a tarot. See, I love the depth that these cards offer. I have been using my Soul Card decks as an oracle over the years, however, I love that idea of layering the oracle with the energies of the archetypes. Personally, I won't be adding titles or writing on my deck but that's just my preference. I love the choices you have made! Thanks for sharing and, as always, it's so nice to see you again! Much love! xo 💋
I didn't know that this is a trend. I wouldn't do this though. The reason I love Soul cards is because they aren't tarot and I can allow my intuition to use them freely. This would feel restricting to me and it negates the original purpose of the decks. Awesome video ❤
To your point, I think that’s why I probably wouldn’t title them. In that respect, I’d be using them how I’d always use them. I just think it’s fascinating to be reminded how universal the archetypes found in the tarot are. I love Debrah Koff-Chapins work and intention for these cards. Thanks for your perspective and thanks for watching!
I am on the fence about this deck. While the artwork is absolutely gorgeous, the borders are very distracting for me. And they’re not consistent. The font and the size of the titles and the keywords are also not consistent. So the question for me is, can I get past that and just enjoy the deck for what it offers? Thank you for sharing this flip through. I enjoyed your interpretation of the cards of the end of the video.
I love that it was a photography deck that in part inspired you to make decks with your photography! ❤ Photography decks (including yours!) are inspiring to me to think about doing the same.
Yeah! I was like, I want to make my own deck but I can’t draw…hmm… lol This summer I plan to do more street photography with tarot in mind so we’ll see what I get! Thanks for watching!
This tag is so much fun, I enjoyed hearing your answers. And thank you for doing my cheeky additional prompt. It was nice to see your dog just chilling in the background, my dog is chilling next to me on the bed as I watch this.
Congratulations on graduation!! 🎉💚 I am very intrigued by this deck. It has a lot of features I don't tend to prefer -- different artists, keywords -- yet as a feminist project I really really like it, and feel like it's such a cool celebration of We'Moon's art. I feel like as a one card daily draw this could be *so* supportive.
THANK YOU! 🎉 And yeah, this deck seems to “hold you.” There’s an energy of it that I really like! I feel like I’d use it for self improvement and introspection more than divination. Thanks for watching!
Hi there! The cards are very beautiful. I love the Fool card in this deck. Breaking out of an egg is really cool. The color scheme they chose for each suit is neat too. Thank you for sharing this deck. Hope you have a great day!
Yay! I’m so happy to see videos popping up! I will be watching them all. I hope someone does a side by side video as well. If I had my way this deck would flood RU-vid LS style 😂 I love this one so much 🥰. Just a little tip, if you put a loop of tape under the tray it will stay down. I use masking or packing tape rather than scotch and I’ve never had them come back out after that. That will solve your issue with getting the cards out if you do decide to keep it in the box. 😊 Also thanks so much for the lovely shout 🥰.
I purchased the deck 2 weeks ago and I have been emailing non stop with 0 response, 0 notification of it being shipped or when being shipped, no idea whats going on.
Hey, I enjoyed your video and agree with a lot of what you say. When you spoke of the two cards you felt uninterested by most depictions of it. I felt the need to suggest you look at the Pensive Path Tarot's TWO of SWORDS and FOUR of CUPS. They speak gutturally to me. I hope you will see for yourself.
Oh wow you were way better on this tag than me - I flagrantly rejected the "three deck only" question! 🤣 You're in New York! -- Any chance you'll be at any of the Readers Studio events at the end of April? 😁
First of all, no! Your VR’s are so well made and articulate and mine are rambles lol. Secondly, I looked at the website and I’m interested but the fees seem a bit…much 😩
Very fascinating to know that therapists are warming up to using cards in their professional practice! A former therapist of mine used an oracle deck with no keywords and it made our sessions incredibly productive! 😎 Thanks so much for sharing! 🤖🖤
Yeah, it’s so useful when done ethically. I’ve started investing in decks with therapy in mind and building my therapist “toolkit” lol. Thanks for watching!
great review of a really special deck. i had the first edition and loved it enough to buy the upgraded second edition as well. i love decks centered around the egyptian pantheon, but i don't vibe with most of them at all. this is one of about three egyptian tarot decks that i really love. i get super on the nose reads from this deck and i am still learning and studying its depths. i had no idea about the detail of the hieroglyphs on the borders?! i love that amount of attention to detail and care put into it. thanks for sharing this with us! ✨
Lovely review 🥰. This deck has been on and off my wishlist for a couple of years now it seems. I think what stops me is the price point and the scarabs. I have a fear of insects and because of that I don’t think I’ll be able to use it comfortably but the artwork is so beautiful that I’ve considered buying it anyway, just to have it in my collection. It’s just a little more that I’d typically want to spend to possibly not be able to use it. It’s back on the list now…again 😂. Thanks for the walkthrough and brining it back to mind!
Yeah I totally get it! I almost wish they created two options: one version with a smaller package basic guidebook, and the other as this one with all the bells and whistles. It’s such a great deck imo. Thanks for watching!
i own and absolutely love this deck. i cannot wait to watch the whole video later today, but i just had to tell you how excited and grateful i am that you did this video!
this was such an amazing and thoughtful take on my deck. thank you so so much ❤🌹 i made this deck during the height of the pandemic lockdown when i wanted a more hands on creative outlet (and was also in need of a more all encompassing love oracle with a different aesthetic). i made it with materials i had on hand, hence the repeating patterns and images, but i did try to create nuance between the cards and i am so glad you picked up on that. funny enough, i also would have done "the snake" card differently as well in regards to using medusa! the deck is four years old so i've grown a lot in that time artistically, but i am still happy with it overall and i can't tell you how touched i am that you did a walkthrough 🥲 had i known more people would be interested i would have also darkened the keywords a bit as well. ahhh just thank you so much again for sharing your thoughts, i am honored! 🌹✨
@@ninecoinsfromsatu thank you so much again and likewise! i have your deck in my MPC cart right now, i am waiting to add another deck or two before my haul. i loved seeing it on meg's channel! 😍
WOW! What a STUNNING deck! Thank you for sharing. Also, your Nine Coins Oracle deck is about to land on my doorstep this week and I am SO excited! I am so grateful that you made this deck available to purchase. You are wonderful and your energy is beautiful! I hope ya know that! 💫🧡💛🌱🌊
i have been on the fence about this deck for over a year now; it is absolutely stunning but idk if i would be able to read with it since i'm not a rootworker. maybe one day i'll take a chance. thanks for sharing your thoughts and for an honest first impression 💜
A very attractive deck. It is out of my price range, but it looks luxurious. I would be disappointed with the shadow of the foil stamping. As for the root workers journey in the major arcana, I wish the guidebook went into it a bit more. A deep dive for sure, with research needed for some of them. Thank you for sharing your deck!
Yes, I decided that it wouldn’t bother me as much as a whole lengthy exchange process, but I did let the creator know and he said he’d follow up with his printer. And yes, this would have been so much more bang for the buck with a fuller, comprehensive guidebook. Thanks for watching!
