Why the majority of CS/Valorant pro players rather set the mouse at 400 dpi * high in-game sense? What is the advantage of having 400 dpi * 2 in-game sense over 1600 dpi * 0.5 in-game sense (both equal eDPI)? I read once that 1600 dpi delivery a better smooth and fluid crosshair control. Is that a bs? thank you.
i need help TT, everyones saying the website helps them alot and my mouse came with an avg of 1400 dpi. and my whole life of val (i started late 2019 early 2020) i've been playing on 1.4 sens cause of my dpi, every one of my friends look at me like i was crazy LOL. i turned down the pointer speed and also the mouse speed in the general settings of the mouse and when i went back to analyze my dpi it was always 820-900 dpi and i settled for it. but now when im not on val its so slow and i feel uncomfy with it, but when i watch everyone else use 800 dpi on regular browsing it seems like a normal speed too!! and another thing is lowering my dpi didnt really do anything LOL i went from 1.4 to 1.2 with this low 900 dpi. i always wondered how people can have those 0. dpis, am i doing something wrong?
It honestly differs from game to game in cs for example higher dpi feels sluggish where as 400 dpi feels snappy and flicks feel fast while in valorant 400dpi feels jittery and inconsistent anything above 800dpi feels smooth
I think its depend on u in the end, I mean I used to play at high dpi since I started play games before years.. my dpi like 1700 and 0,98 in game and its good for me I reached ascendent 2 with that sens
I mean about eliminating pixel skipping entirely, unless you mean to discredit the calculator, there is no reason not to look up the calculator just to be sure players playing and it not being a big enough disadvantage is one thing, doesn't mean that it can't have any effect if ppl are going to use some sense or another
I was wondering if 100 dpi can make a difference so I normally use 1500 but my mouse reset and became 1600 for some reason but can that 100 dpi make a big difference because it felt like it can but the number just seems so small
Just started this game again with my son. After a month playing some solo q I can say it is still as dam awful as it always has been. It probably is even worse. Duo was maybe little better. The amount of times I find either afks, smurfs or 2-3 groups not talking is probably 60-70% of the time. Its just not fun and makes ranks all over the place. Yesterday all 3 games I played I had either enemy team FF or smurfs dropping 40 kills. And then due to SBMM after losing a few games I get the most braindead games because the system wants me to "win". I don't know what it is but in recent years games are stressful and that was something I never experienced before. Usually games have always been relaxing but in games like this I can only play a few games before I want to exit out. I assume it has to do with SBMM which is more of a system designed to keep one playing, buying skins etc like gambling addictions.
This is wrong... pixel skipping happens when your mouse dpi is too low from the polling rate. 1000 hz polling rate mice update 1000 cpi per second. If you are using 400 dpi and move 1 inch in 1 second... the possibility of counting 1000 pixels can't happen because at 400 dpi.... there are only 400 dpi( counts per inch) 800 dpi means you are missing 200 possible pixels... 1000 dpi is a 1 to 1 ratio which is no pixel skipping... the problem is that you HAVE to match your dpi to your monitors ppi( pixels per inch). THe main issue is this... most players use a dpi that is lower than the polling rate..... on a smaller monitor the picture is very clear because all of the pixels are condensed... to get rid of pixel skipping just adjust your dpi to your monitor and use if you can a larger monitor that will have the pixels more spaced out... that is how you get the most accuracy possible for your own set up
ok just to break it down... your polling rate at 1000hz reports the movement to your pc 1000 times per one sec. If your Dpi is below the equivalant.. which is 1000 dpi and you move your mouse 1 inch... you have "free play" in your mouse and it causes skipping since there are 200 dots per 1 inch that is unnacounted for... your pc "adjusts" for that which causes the pixel skipping. the thing is... your mouse and your monitor are both measured in the exact same way... pixels per inch... when you match your dpi in a 2:1 ratio for the pixel per inch on your monitor it is easier synced. the way to adjust for a high DPi is to use a windows driver like raw accel that breaks down the percentages even further. My monitor size and mouse are best set at 1900 dpi.. but to get the most out of it I use the maximum accurate Dpi for my mouse model.. which is 3800... in game I use 7.7 sense... then I use raw accel set to a .25% reading... this brings my EDPI to 73.15. its not as easy as just pick a pro and copy their shit settings. And it's not as hard as you would think to just match your perpherals... google PPI calculator check your monitor size, and multiply that by 10 that will give you your base for DPI. then... multiply that number in increments of 5% until you find a number that matches your DPI within 10 pixels. when you find those 4-6 DPi ranges just check how accurate that DPI is for your exact mouse model. if it is within 3-4% its good ... more than that and its crap. The final step is just multiply that Dpi by 2 then your in game sense by the same... adjust rawaccel to .25% and boom.From there since some games do not have sense into the 100ths or thousands you get to micro adjust your in game sensitivity to be the most accurate and natural for you. This whole process takes literally 5-10 minutes.
what you can do to counter the whole " too fast in menu " thing, is in the mouse software, you can change the pointer options, so you don't mess with windows settings, you just mess around with your mouse software x)
