from reading wikapedia it sounds like the heart trio (mike, roger and steve ) left the band because of musical differences in 91 right in the middle of there tour with REO Speedwagon. too bad these guys could've survived the 90's regardless of the change in music.
Fred Curci should have been a mega star...I love Jefferson Star ship with Mickey Thomas Fred is a B4 octave range ..he goes one scale beyond Thomas....
Still as fresh and energetic as it was when it was released. Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen and Michael DeRosier are a blitzkrieg, tough as nails rhythm section. Legends!
Oh..*sigh* It's been more than 20 years now since I was about nine years old, watching this movie, loving this song and eagerly awaiting the days of becoming a teenager myself. It seemed that by the time I reached adolescence myself, the magic had been taken off to college with the rest of Generation X. I was born in 1982, barely missing the cut off of the Generation X/MTV and Generation Y line and instead find myself often unable to identify with "my" Generation Y...the "Entitled Generation"
It's number 2 on the billboard chart in 1990. This song is a classic rock ballad and I never get tired listening to it. One of the best rock ballads that's available on almost Power Ballad compilation albums out there.
These guys have the talent and the passion. The record companies are the one's full of sh*t. A band needs the support of their management and record company. Obviously, these guys (an many other bands of the same era) didn't get the support from their labels. Labels sold out to non talent like Nirvana
I dedicate this song to my beautiful Angel Joey. I play this song everymorning. My heart is with this beautiful woman and soon we will be together forever. Alias has recorded and produced one of the most heart felt songs and will always be my favourite.
