Hi…. As the video shows it’s an easy install. I am looking to purchase and would like to ask how they sound running off the head unit? Better than stock?
Hello! Yes definitely more bass, more of a kick to the sound. Although these were an improvement I have since upgraded further though to a 400w 12 inch boot subwoofer running off it's own amp and have to say that has transformed the sound, for around the same price as the under seat subs. So would recommend this if bass is important to you. Thanks for the question!
@@ConversationWay great feedback… I think for me I want an improvement with the oem look, I could get an amp on the front of the car but am sure these will do… I can get the pair for £135 which is quite good 👍 I think?
Hi…. As the video shows it’s an easy install. I am looking to purchase and would like to ask how they sound running off the head unit? Better than stock?
I purchased this recently. For some reason I cannot get the steering wheel controls to work even though I've followed your steps, Any ideas? Also the unit just will not display the correct date and time until it links up with dab. Even on manual it will not save the correct date and time.
Try looking at the rear connections, they may be round the wrong way, steering wheel controls are weird because they can be plugged in one end but not the other, with the time and date try a setting about manually or automatically finding the correct time zone
My wife's 2017 model had the problem this morning on a particularly cold day. Could be coincidence but could have also accelerated the issue. I pulled the pedal back up and it seems to work now. But I saved your video just in case that I need that particular part number some time in the future... 😁 By the way, I've read that even replacing the entire clutch doesn't always solve the issue. It must be something with the hydraulic lines...
I've had my BMW X5 E53 4.8iS V8 since, January 23, 98k miles, 20 inch tyres front and rear, had the windows tinted and had an LPG gas conversion, and it runs so sweet, just changed all the tyres too, i love my X5.
That does not stop my system from asking if I want an update anyway, turning on my radio and then dumping my time setting and my phone. I can add my phone back and it will last about three or four days before it does it again.
Idk bout yall, but my X5 has delivered nothing but grief… Our experience/nightmare “together” (post-110K miles) has been as equally joyful AND thrilling as having my toenails forcefully evicted from my feet in a bucket of boiling saltwater whilst being auditorily tortured with the latest of Cardi B’s musical atrocities, “WAP”…, ON REPEAT! 😑🔫
i recently bought a xav-ax8150 which is very similar to this head unit but i wasnt able get the steering wheel controls on my e90 bmw to work! do you know what adaptors i need to get for it?
Hello! An adaptor such as the Connects2 DS-BM005 would likely be suitable for this. We recommend you ask a reputable car audio specialist to confirm this however, as we're not experts in this area. Hope you can get it working soon!
When I did it I found that the way I did it at the time to be the only way really to be able to do it, only other way to do it may be to mount the head unit further backwards but it might take a bit of modification slightly
By running a 6M cord from front to back will I have sound in my car I’ve seen a couple people say they connected the head unit comes on, but no sound I have dsp
No , nothing at all , I have heard of some doing this though on the focus Facebook group - might be worth reaching out on the Facebook group for some advice , if you get the solution feel free to pop it as a comment 👍🏻
Hello! 2011 will be an LCI so will have the N57 engine, timing chains can fail on these as you approach 100k. E93 roofs can leak around the boot light area to playing havoc with the electrics. There's a few other issues too but those are likely the main ones to look out for. Thanks for watching!
Hi I know this video was over a year ago but I was wondering if I could get some advice? I wanted to know if you could link the trim attachment and does this fit the F20 a pillar trim too? Also I’m planning to install these subs alongside the focal ISBMW100L and wanted to know how are the vibe speakers holding up? I’m gonna use a monoblock amp plus a 4 channel for the rest
Hello! Not familar with the F20 I'm afraid. The vibe speakers have been great and still working as well as they ever did since this video was made. Thanks for watching!
