Brando? And this isn't geekisodes it's just an excuse to play pokemon with my brother in law and Austin did David want to do the podcast? Even back in the geekisode days he usually was too busy to be there for most. Love that guy though!
This is one of those little games that I put away as a kid which I picked up again and has become my weird fixation ever since. Because I barely got through 30 something in-game days before dying, (in my best attempt yet, as I distinctly remember it was right before crossing the lake because the log's spawn rate made me crazy) it led me to put it away under my DS' storage box for more than a decade because I was gradually transitioning into playing 3DS games (I was a kid, sue me). Then, when I got home from university this one time for the holidays, I cleaned my room and came across this game again and thought since I didn't have any better things to do, I played it again. I opened it up and fast forward to today, its OST now comprises at least 15% of my video game study music. I'm also now looking to play each game because the when I finished the first game, I felt the same exact sentiments and found myself wanting more(so far I've only played the first and the wii one). I have to tell you, the one from wii is a really strange entry. It's a pain to play it in the actual console because of the clunky motion controls so I turned to emulation (if only for the better control layout and motion control mapping) and it's now my favorite in the series. I really hope Konami picks this series up just one last time and give us one final definitive entry that'd explore the nuances of life and just really have a more pithy story (even if it's just a bit more slice-of-life, honestly. I also want more dialogue and a better sense of the developing relationship between the characters).
holy cow this is one of the best videos I've seen all year and I hope it blows up, this was very real, very emotional and a sort of comforting uncomfortable. Great video, thank you for making it.
