It happened to me in Miami. I was standing in a traffic jam on 42 Ave right at the end of the runway. A very unusual late rotation of a Tristar (it was the 80s) I thought it was going to hit me.

One evening in Toronto I was standing just beyond the end of one of the runways watching takeoffs. A 747-400 lumbered to the end of the runway and began its takeoff roll coming straight towards me just like this. I was absolutely certain he would never lift off. He finally rotated and could not have been more than 150 feet above my head. Unbelievable.
