I think it was less of an issue with the neck and more about the balance between her head and body proportions. It is harder to tell because of the shawl around her shoulders but either making her body higher towards her head or a bit bigger body would work to help. Maybe the age of the ref character? Either way it looks great as a finished product! ❤ keep up your good idea of a little every day! I need to do the same
The distance of the chin to the eye is roughly the same plus a little more of the distance from the eye to the hair (depending on volume of hair). I think a improvement is to use guildlines more effectively! I see a good attempt at the loomis method but just take note the ear does go back that far 😅😅
SAME, I wanna make my own stories someday, so I strive to get good as an artist, to make that a reality. Love your drawings, keep up the wonderful effort!
Just a little tip! For the nose, it's facing the way it would for a side profile while your face is facing forward. Ik that this is stylised but you can get away with drawing a little line without making it look awkward. Also I feel like you might have been trying to do a slightly turned head (??) so you can curve the vertical guideline to the side that you want for that! Otherwise I love this!!! You've gotten so much better!!
try to make your canvas resolution higher and if you do full body crop the canvas to fit your drawing so it wont be pixel-y and low quality goodjob on this one!
Nice boxing method. If you allow me, I would recommend you to pay more atention on your 3D perception, it makes you improve perspective and understand better the relation between line and intention. Please dont underestimate blocks and geometrical 3d forms. Hope you have a great journey👽🎉
Don't listen to everyone saying drawing without reference is bad. No idea why they are saying that, to improve, sometimes drawing without a reference is ideal.
@@trytodraweverydayy it is ok for certain artstyles, but I think anime art tends to lean towards the more “refine and thin” line works. you should focus on the more important things like proportions and pespective, (anatomy comes afterwards) if you really wanna improve lightning fast 🙏👍👍
Am not really a professional artist but I do have some experience drawing anime, if you wanna improve fast, understand the basics and being consistent is the most important. It doesn’t matter if you draw one pose 100 times or 100 poses one time, if you don’t understand why certain things behave like that, you might find progress to be slow. Being consistent in your drawing routines is also important, as it ensures what you learn from your seissions cna be constantly put to good use, and you won’t forget it 💪
Isn’t this method from oridays channel? Awesome! It’s one of my fav methods to date for learning and has helped a ton, but just be mindful not to copy blindly and you will see some great improvements 💪
your anatomy improved so much! i recommend u to use a different brush though, one that will change line weight depends on your pen pressure. since youre on csp, heres some IDS for good brushes! lineart: 1739958, 1695958 coloring/sketching:1979787 rendering: 2070601
hey! your drawings are great, however i recommend to not do excessive lines inside the hair when doing lineart. do it how you did in the sketch, it looks cleaner and gives the hair a better shape :)
you did so well!! just one thing to remember, the side of your head is more oval-ish than circle. it helps to also study skeletons to get the anatomy right. best of luck xx
Drawing without reference will help you improve. Drawing from imagination is good too. And i’m saying it from experience because i almost always draw without a reference. And if i do, it’s only if i draw fan art or i want to draw one specific thing i’m having trouble with in the drawing that i’m making.
I’ve drawn all my life without references, it’s only recently that i’ve been doing that and it isn’t even very often. It’s good to draw from imagination too, it makes you more creative!
