Man, I just changed my transmission cable on a 2010 malibu. And it didn't work so I was like wtf!! Did research, was getting into it might be the transmission solenoid and just a nightmare haha....then I came across this video and was like, no shit......checked it out and tried it......boom works, thank you sir haha u woke me up from my nightmare hahaha...subbed for this for sure

I couldn't get my car to go in gear or stay in park. It also be difficult to park it on a sloped hill. After inspecting it, I realized that it had broken.

Also make sure that you have someone check the engine specs. to make sure that you order the right part because this car has a few different variations. I hope that this helps.

I order a bushing replacement kit off of Ebay when I had my issue or when I thought that the bushing was the issue. You'll have to search for your year and brand of car but I believe that they may carry it. I did upload a video about the bushing. I'll copy the link here and leave it in the comments.

I have a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu lt. And I got a output speed sensor replace and after that it will not go into any gear u can't even fill it. The gear will move when my feet not even on the brakes but will not kick into reverse drive or in m. Is that my shifting cable?
Hey Darnell. I don't know about the speed sensor but I found out that my problem was indeed the shift cable. It was falling apart at the housing and it loosened everything. I would check the bushing first and replace it if it seems weathered or worn, also inspect your shift cable for breakage or worn pieces. What I found out about it is that it's one entire piece. I plan to do another video soon showing I fixed my shift cable. Stay turned.
@@sergeantdarnell8202 I tried to move it without my foot on the brakes and the shifter doesn't move at all. My problem is that my vehicle won't return to park after shifting. (R,N,D,L)
