So this topic is interesting as someone who is: 1. Follower of Christ 2. Former critical care/ER nurse and now NP who has been with 100s at the end of life. 3. Personally dealing with an incurable disorder and often cry for death. I will say the hardest but most rewarding moments in my career has been helping people with a terminal illness pass comfortably to meet our Father. As a provider we DO know (in less than 9 weeks) what someone is going through and their mental state (we see them 24/7). My main suggestion (that is meant very kind and hope it's taken that way)... The title of this is "compassionate discussion" and the speaker is coming off like a prosecution lawyer talking to a jury in a harsh voice convincing them of a guilty verdict. He could be talking about kittens and I would feel threatened. Something to consider before speaking to reach more people.
I am planning on going to the 2019 gathering, so I decided to watch some videos about this, and I just saw two of my friends and flipped out. 0:56 the guy in the cardinals shirt and the girl to his right.
Thank you! This will be my 3rd time as a Leader. I am in Mn and we are excited to have the gathering in our state this year. Minnesotans are wonderful loving people, the weather is beautiful, the city is beautiful as well. Praying for this amazing team as they work on the gathering. Gods blessings!
regarding hotels, are adults allowed - anymore - to share/chaperone a room with 3 other youth? When I was a youth attendee, some kids had their own 4 to a room while a few rooms had 3 youth and 1 adult. Or should we expect to have 4 youth to a room and adults sharing rooms together?
This is great to see. Having moved to various cities in the U.S., I wonder about the Lutheran Church's exposure to youth. Maybe I've been living under a rock - glad to see the LCMS arrange a gathering like this.
