To anyone reading this, when it comes to what you wear and how you wear it the only opinion that matters is yours. If you like and feel comfortable in what you’re wearing then wear it. The day I stopped caring about other people’s opinions was the day I truly became free.

If people must wear socks and slides the socks should match the colour of the slides not clash. White slides with white socks actually looks okay - girls can get away with this look more than men. Men who walk around in socks and slides deserve a thump because it looks pathetic. Men should never go open toed in public because it is just wrong, wear shoes, boots, sneakers but avoid toeless (unless near a pool).
I'd rather go sockless than wear Puma or any other brand than Nike socks with a pair of Nikes. Mismatching looks like you've either given up or got dressed in the dark. Unless you're wearing Nike Free RN shoes I'd tend to want socks for comfort
