Ok been hitting the Big Cat and when i am focused and swing correctly it works great. I am getting ready to go hit off a tee and was wondering why the tee is set so far in front of the plate and your feet are positioned where they are. Gonna go try it your way and see what happens. Normally my feet are where yours are but my tee in directly in front of the plate, no that far away from it. thanks for for the vids
Hey Kevin, thanks for watching! The position of the tee is based on where your trying to hit the ball, for example in this video I’m trying to pull the ball to left field so I position the tee on the inside part of the strike zone and sit it where my contact zone with the ball should be to enable pulling the ball to left field which is a couple feet in front of the plate for me because I’m 6-6 and have long arms! When working on hitting up the middle then you position the tee in the middle of the strike zone but slightly in front of the plate which would be your contact zone for doing that. Then to hit the ball to the opposite field you would position the tee on the outside edge of the strike zone but a little deeper in the zone which I put it on the outside part of the plate to practice hitting the right side! Hope this helps, try that and good luck!
@@RyanBreidingSoftball43 Thank you, 6'3" here. Seemed to hit it solid more often, but may be due to focusing on the ball like I should. Gonna try and hit the ball a little closer to the pitcher tomorrow and see . Thanks again for the vids and good luck
When I was young the city streets were as busy as New York City. Steubenville Mall was built, and the city started to lose many businesses. I worked at Wheeling Pittsburg Steel in Beech Bottom after getting of the service. We went on strike for a year, it sucked I was young with a young family. My wife said it was the worst years ever in our lives. Moved to California for 15 years and then Montana for 15 years and now in Oregon and just retired and the wife and I just this month hit 48 years of marriage, thanks for memory lane.
Hey Ron, I haven’t played ASA in several years so I’m not sure about any to recommend. You’re 62 and not allowed to swing a Senior bat for a few more years?
@@RyanBreidingSoftball43 I just fund out that our league is a 50 & over and does not allow senior bats. Guess their to hot. Anyway, thank you for responding so quickly. I enjoy your video's and feel that have helped me. Watching your focus keeping your eyes on the ball especially. Take care!
The 2024 Helmer I like a lot. The older models I can’t speak about because I’ve never tried them. From what I’ve heard the 24 model has a completely different technology than the older models and is a lot better
Ryan saw the Batting practice using the Macenko bat and then saw that you used it in the tournament. Is the bat as impressive after the tournament as it was after initial BP session? Curious because I bought one to be my gamer this season. Thanks for the vids
Kevin, The Macenko bat is a great bat I have now used it in my last 5 tournaments and it now has approximately 900 swings on it! It hits another gear after about 150-200 swings on it! You can’t go wrong when you choose to swing that bat as your gamer! Good luck this season and thanks for watching.
Spent a lot of time in Wheeling in the early 70's. Quite a bustling town back then. Steel money, old money, snotty rich people. Went back there just a few years ago and saw it had turned into a run-down White ghetto, filled with empty store fronts and tattoo parlors. What a dump. And no Elby's to be found anywhere. Thanks for posting this video.
43 plays the game like it's supposed to be played. There's no Cadillac Ing after a hit. Hit the ball and run like hell is what we are taught at a very early age. #Respect!!
Nice to watch a video of Wheeling from somebody who lived there. The place is looking pretty good with lots of work going on. Too many towns today becoming ghost towns. Hope it continues to get revamped and progressing. I lived there on the island until five years old and then moved to Martins Ferry. Left there in 1963 for a Air Force career and we settled here in Texas after that. Great vids. Continue the good work. My wife, also from MFO, loves to see the places where she used to shop. Thanks Ryan. FYI, I claim Wheeling as my home town...not MFO. Ha
Well, it's not really in the south. Wheeling is above the Mason-Dixon line and during the civil war, seceeded (?) from Virginia and became West (by God) Virginia. In fact, the pan-handle area tried to become part of Ohio...but that wasn't happenin'.
West Virginia isn’t the south …you’ve got access to the worlds information in the palm of your hands . Ignorance is a choice . You could’ve easily Googled the information.
