ive been a fan of vetex since his old school naruto game... this is something i think will never change with him. he posts his super cool ideas and makes you hyped, then we never receive it. its been like this since the arcane adventure days. me and my friends were always hyped for the mutations but it never came... and in this game, the equivalent of mutations is gonna be the lost magics and ancient magics. which he said would come once you reach level 300 or something crazy like that... this game has been out for a year and a half... the max level when it came out was 125... whats the max level now? 140.... a year and a half later.... we are never getting to level 300 for lost magics... let alone ancient magics which are level 1000 or some shit. and this is just 1 example. vetex has been going down a pattern since ive been playing his games since 2012. cool ideas. makes a bunch of filler stuff no one cares about for a few years. quits and repeat. i pray that it wont be the same with this game because he seems to be super loyal to it. but knowing him he'll have his "well actaully guys ive been wanting to try a new concept for a long time" phase happen again. but idk. its hard to play this game imo just because of how laggy it is. but its super hard to want to stay because of vetex's habits. im sick of being hyped for stuff that will never come. its been a damn decade and this shit wont change.
@noob2572 Completely missed the point, everyone already understands why there is no content, it's the fact that because of that the games playerbase can't be steady and updates can mitigate this but they take extremely long, longer than people can wait which makes the game lose alot of players
Wood is one of those magics that people say it's bad or weak but actually its pretty solid magic. For a hard material magic it has good speed 0.8x, good damage 0.95x with bleed that deals extra damage having a good size of 1.2x it overall is a pretty good magic just i think kinda the downside of it still is that it is a little bit slow than compare to other magics and welp it doesnt REALLY have many good synergies expect with few and the best are plasma and fire only. (keyword best i know there are others too like sand yade yada)
take a look at tf2 and tell me this game will die edit: also i've noticed that AO's community is so fucking chill bro even people with shit tons of bounty or something they just chill out destroying npc's and sometimes even helping out new guys
While it does seem like Vetex probably needs to start hiring help or ask for volunteers. So he can refine his ideas better and many other things. (Which it does seem like he is doing) Like having someone on the team work on QoL or UI stuff would be huge. Something the fans would appreciate while he works on big updates. However, I kind of despise the roblox game mindset. We aren't anywhere near the level of awful that is Blox Fruits or all of its clones. Where they got lucky with a kind of bad game getting really popular and then abandoning it when they made their money. So the doomposting is unnecessary. Arcane Odyssey has a bright future at least imo. This game is something special and I can understand why many have already burned themselves out on it. The game is still consistently at 1k+ players every day.
Drowned Armour and abyssal have basically the same defense stat (277 + 39 = 316 as seen in the screenshot), so the only difference is the resistance stat and vanity. With that being said, unless you have a lot of resistance (I would say around 200 min), the drowned modifier is better because attack size doesn't need as high an investment to have a significant effect.
I mean. Before Deepwoken blew up. Rogue Lineage was a 2-3k average game. It averages maybe 500-800 now. The thing that set the games apart was the updates.
Because of the addicting gameplay loop and rogue literally just being 1 of a kind its a no Brainer to why it hasn't fallen off. Ask any rogue player if it's addicting and 8/10 of them would say it is
I just hate to say this but your are on a 50/50. I know about the pace, the speed they are going at but trust me there is something else that is in stored for the future of AO (The speed of development has increased btw, it is faster now thanks to new members helping out). What is being worked on is suppose to pull players back and Add more content in a HUGE way before release!. it is still in early Access, the fact this game even released as early access is a miracle! The content vetex wanted to add would have been more if he could hold on another year of development but opening the game to the public has helped him fix most of the bugs, QoL and many other things. Arcane odyssey is a game to relax and play at the end of the day with friends or solo since the PvE content is main focus (PvP game modes and stuff will be a thing cause it was spoke about in an interview and stuff for clan gameplay so PvP is also something his focused on. [I know all you no touch grass will get angry if I didn't say this]) but again, Arcane Odyssey will take roblox by storm as new content is added (Basically new players will be the people who will get the feeling of a Vast expanding exploration RPG Pirate and magic story driven blah blah blah.... game cause they never played AO, and the advertisements for Arcane Odyssey doesn't exist if anyone has noticed about that on roblox) I will stop here before I say too much. but thanks for making so much content about AO and Hope this delayed future update will make you rethink about the set back that was made last minute. Now I will say this... LET HIM COOK!
im a new player (50+ hours, im addicted) and im anxious for this empire update, i understand the people who are mad at the developer for the delay on his updates, but this game is also incredible, just let chill guys
i mean yeah its gonna take a while but like, that's kinda how games work lol it took me like an entire day to make a crappy incomplete copy of flappy bird, i can't think of a single game i actually like that took under 3 years to make obviously it isn't fun waiting that long and I'm not disagreeing with you of course since your opinion is basically the same as mines anyways but I'm just saying i didn't expect this game to get new seas every month and I'm not surprised at all by the wait, the game has maintained 1K+ players consistently for the past few weeks so I think its fine
Now I don't have a thousand hours on 1 slot but I've got several hundred on most of my 12 slots because i've played the game since release and even had an old WoM save with shadow magic on it (I deleted it when shadow became meta cause fuck getting called a meta mancer) But the point is the video is right even more dedicated players are starting to get bored with the game because of the slowness of development and lack of new content hopefully vetex accepts more help or even just releases small updates at a time with bug patches and new content every update rather than these massive updates every once in a while riddled with bugs.
