Wow! Thank you Joe (and Epiphone), for rolling out another killer guitar at a very-obtainable price. This is SO COOL. You’re truly a good guy who cares about your fans and intentionally put your name on amazing guitars that the average player (like me) can afford. So cool. PS. I like your commentary on amp volume settings. Several months ago, I watched a rig rundown with Eric Clapton’s guitar tech. When it came to his amps, he was using a very basic tube amp; don’t recall the brand/model, but I feel like they were Princetons or something similar. And he sets all the knobs to 7. No variance. That’s about 2:00, so between you two, I know where I’m setting my rig. 🤓🎸👍
There's been some really cool JB signatures black beauty and Amos are favourites, and judging by rave reviews and critical acclaim these instruments are instant classics and sure to sort after classics.

I would even sleep with this guitar, it's that beautiful. Thank you Gibson for this fair priced guitar, please keep this, and make these priced guitars sometimes. :)
So it costs and additional $1000 for body binding and an inlayed headstock? We're acting as if this isn't looking exactly like a Standard from a distance. This is not the basic workhorse Studio we all know. But I do really want one of these in black.
My favorite LP was a custom with linde Fraylin P90s. Sadly I had cancer, had to sell it all, sold it to Norm (he made money on the deal) in LA with my 1966 super reverb and a Gibson es295 that had a purple to green to black iridescent paint job. It looked black until the stage lights hit it and then it show Ed green and purple. It turns out to actually be an es175 not an es295. Good news is I beat cancer and now getting back into music. Less than a grand these seem like a good move.
The heaviest Les Paul I've ever played was an earky 70s Electra my oldest brother brought home from his tour of duty was done. I swear it felt like 15 pounds easy.
Si vous n'aimez pas Epiphone et joe Bonamassa alors n'achetez pas , pour ma part j'ai la Gold et la Verte de joe avec les micros gibson de série , et j'ai revendu ma Gibson !!!
I know it’s different, but I kinda prefer the Tribute because of the exposed cap looking like binding, and the Specials and Juniors for the open pore finishes and screaming P-90’s. I’m not sure what would make the Studio jump the list for me. So many other Gibsons are in my “dream guitar” list that again, the Studio doesn’t make the cut. C’mon.. under 2K! Either I’ll save up for what I really want or more than likely grab another Fender.
No poker chip just looks wrong before we even get started. Throw in weight relief, no more, hard shell case, and this bums me right out. Reissue the wine red studio from 1991. It was a beast.
How is it possible that just because a Murphy Lab 59 has a Brazilian board it raises the price up so high??? A regular ML R9 aged is $9k but the same R9 with the Brazilian FB is $20k!!!!
