Don't worry about calling them Gypsy. Gypsies from Spain are proud of their culture and they had been integral part of Spanish culture and arts as well.
Geez, it’s so f’in obvious that one should leave enough “tail” on the A-1 string to loop it back through all of the other three loops, to have it emerge at the top of the 4th string. (Yes, this requires that one does not tighten all the other loops to closure first). It’s almost painful to watch you “short” the A-1 string, then seem to be completely clueless as to whether you can loop the A-1 string back. It’s pretty simple. Don’t short the first string (like you do here); leave enough string to return the tail back through the loops of the G-C-E. Don’t tighten the G-C-E with pliers until you’ve put on the A-1. Then, tighten up all of them after the A-1 has been threaded “up” through the other three loops.
I'm not sure what you're referring to, but there are FRETS, which are the metal bars on the neck. TAB is short for "tablature," which is a notation system that refers to strings and finger placement. People so use the term "TABS," but I can't tell you why.
I am only new 18months playing could you explain when you talk about progression chords and you mention numbers how do you get these numbers PLEASE thank you I enjoyed and learning a lot Liz
Those are based on scale degrees. I have a video on this topic on my other channel: kalani music. Search for Music Theory 101 - Chord Number system (also Roman Numeral system)
You are a wonderful teacher. Your ability to explain things in depth is one thing which makes you so. TYSM for sharing your videos with us. I appreciate your channel and your teaching method. 👍😉🙂
Just found your channel and I'm brand - new to playing the Uke. Have watched your video on strumming patterns, and, will try to combine the instructions from this video with that one. I hope you will please keep making these informative videos for us. TYSM for sharing your techniques and knowledge with us. 👍
I do really appreciate your instructions here. I have learned so much and, with how you teach, I feel i will learn tremendously. I tried playing the rhythm guitar YEARS ago, but, could never get it down, good enough. That made me give up on learning it any. So, hopefully with your tips about getting the rhythm and strumming developed first, I will be able to learn the ukulele as i so much want to do. TYSM for sharing your techniques and this video with us. 👍😄
This so helpful to me!! I have always struggled with rhythm, even clapping along in a group has been hard for me! But I’m determined to overcome this!! You’re a great teacher!!
Really helpful, thank you. I've been playing about 2 years (self?RU-vid ...yay covid!), and although I've been paying attention to positioning+ergonomics for my hands, I've still been having some tone issues. I can already tell that with some retraining what I've learning here is really going to help!
How do you go from guitar music to ukulele music, is that possible? In traditional guitar music is a A note the same as aa note on the Ukulele. I think yes and A is a A. So how do you transpose guitar 6 string music to ukulele tab 4 string.
