Excellent video mate, it actually helped me make up my mind. I’ve got a 16inch MacBook bro and was worried the 13inch iPad would be too close, but I’m getting a 13 now 👍🏼
Dear RU-vidrs. Stop buying this product, scoring some clicks, dissing the AVP and then returning it. At least you are honest and upfront on things but it is still unethical. Apple need to start monitoring who is ‘buying’ the Vision Pro otherwise it is going to be dead in the water before it even starts to develop. So few ‘reviewers’ spend any real time with the unit (because they know full-well they are going to return it) or even realise sometimes all it takes is a change of faceplate or adjustment of the solo headband up or down at the back of head. I have 3 top end headsets and the AVP is incomparable.
@@Neill.E I do agree with you even though I have done it myself with this video. It’s been happening for years in the tech RU-vid world. A lot of people like myself, who want to start doing RU-vid tech videos don’t have the chance to get these sent out for review for free so it’s a way for us to get our hands on the product and test it out. If I had disposable income, I’d have probably kept it. I do stand by my thoughts though - it’s an amazing piece of tech but the comfort and price lets it down! Plus I just prefer using a Mac and iPad. Thanks for your thoughts!
I have the wifi & cellular and it's great but to be honest, unless you are travelling to a lot of remote places id stick with the wifi option as nearly everywhere has wifi now!
Got the 11 and felt like a random iPad/toy. 13 works for all my needs and I don’t feel like it’s too big to use as a standard iPad for media consumption.
Hi Chris, it might be worth giving the 'AnnaPro comfort head strap a go to help alleviate the pressure and increase comfort! That seems to be the one most people are having success with.
Hey Sam! Yes, Apple have a really amazing 14 day return period for you to try out the product and if it’s not for you, you can return it! Just don’t drop it or break it 😂
Hello Chris, I did the same as you and returned because as amazing as the technology is, I prefer my screen and I do not think it is worth the price. However, they have done an outstanding job compared to the Meta headsets.
What people do when they first get the Vision Pro is they try to tighten it really tight on their head and face. It’s not necessary that’s why people get that feeling and that ring around their face. There is no need to make it really tight. Right now you’re just not used to using it after a little bit of time this changes.
I agree, when I was first wearing it I was wearing it way too tight. After that, I found it fit a little better when it was a bit looser but I still found it pretty uncomfortable after 30 minutes of wearing it. Apart from the comfort and the price - it's a pretty amazing product which is only going to get better as time goes on.
@@chris-colton yeah... I have had it since day one... Initially I used the Knit band, I thought it was a little awkward, Then I switched to the other band.. I found that band to be more comfortable after not tightening it to much, Just letting it rest on top and in the lower back of my Head.... I use my AVP mostly for Work and I'm now in it for hours no problem. I actually went back to the Knit band because it was cooler at work! lol.... I interestingly I find is very comfortable and use it only now for hours. I think you have to experiment... but I also think over some time your body/neck adjusts and gets stronger... so... experiment... have fun with it... :)
@@chris-colton Yes... the price is high....depending on ones expectation and financial situation. But I'll say this... Some people buy a TV that costs £500, Others buy a TV of the same size and pay £3,000. They both display movies and other media, They both have a Smart OS, They both can hang on your wall.... But they don't have the same viewing experience..... Just depends on what you desire and what ever you desire... it's right for you.....
11” for me. I just got a lovely MacBook Pro 14” which will mostly stay on my desk plugged Into my monitor. But I have an 11” M1 Pro that I also have on my desk and use round the house. I’m going to buy the M4 11” model at some point when I have the money. May get the cellular version. I thought about the 13”, but it’ll be too c,one to my laptop and too big to have on my desk. I also have a 28” monitor and my works laptop on my desk. I’ll get the new Magic Keyboard too. As you say though it’s entirely personal, preference and it’s great to see no disparity with the new models with both having the new OLED screen, cameras and processor upgrades. I love the iPad device.
The 11inch iPad and 14inch MacBook Pro is a great pairing! You’ll not regret it. I have the cellular version - highly recommend it for when you are travelling and have no good WiFi!
Hooray!! Many (RU-vidrs) seem to trade down, and only recommend the 13” for drawing. I’m pleased you’re a normal user going for the large one. You may have tipped the balance on my decision. Cheers.
I have pondered the 11 inch vs 13 inch conundrum for quite a while, and in the end I opted for the 11 inch iPad Pro. Can’t imagine using the 13 inch on the Glider, the looks I would get :) The 11 inch is a little less conspicuous when out and about
Great video mate. I returned the 13inch and got the 11inch and was best decision I made. I just found that as much as I loved the 13inch I just found that it was way too big to leave the house with and I couldn’t take it out of my bag when travelling on the train without feeling like a tool lol. I also absolutely HATED the 4x3 Aspect ratio when watching content. The 11inch being 10x7 is actually better imo. The speakers on the 13 I miss but the 11 inch sound amazing for the size so I can live with that minor trade off.
Thanks for watching Eddie! I totally agree with you - the 11inch is definitely more travel friendly and a bit more manageable on trains and planes but I think I just really preferred the bigger screen for reading and watching things even with the aspect ratio! You’ll not regret the 11inch anyway - it’s great too!
Thank you for the video. You have a new subscriber.. do you find that the M4 13” can be used more in tablet mode with the thinner design? I had the 12.9 and had to return and go with the 11 but I missed the real estate… thanks!
Thanks for watching and subscribing 😊 I still think the 11inch is nicer to hold as a tablet even with the thinner design but I just prefer the bigger screen!
I’ve actually had both the 13in and 11in M4 models. I first bought the 13in and liked it but found it a little too big and returned it and got the 11in M4 and liked it at first but just thought it was a bit too small and too similar to older models. I then returned the 11in and re-ordered the 13in and came to the conclusion I just like the bigger size more. Movies and games just look amazing on the 13in.
This was exactly the same thing I went through! 11 feels great at the start but then you just feel like you’re missing something! I hope you’re enjoying the 13 🙌
I actually think the full size 13 inch Magic Keyboard is more convenient for typing than lugging around a MacBook Pro - and pretty much has the same amount of key travel. I like having the OLED and the flexibility of being able to easily do both work and play whenever I like…
I sold my iPad Pro 12,9 M1 for an IPad Pro 11 M4 Love it because of the size and the weight More practical I loved my 12,9 but , despite of its weight, I realized I was using it less and less and used more my mini
Yeah I think the 11inch is a perfect tablet size but for me, I really love watching tv shows and RU-vid on it in bed or on the sofa around the house. I hope you are enjoying the ipad!
Hey there - what did you end up doing. Did you take the 11 back for the 13 and are you happy with it. I bought the 11 and loved it for 10 days but, took it back today for the 13. Now I have the 13 because I thought I was missing the screen I want the 11 back and I am actually thinking of going back to the 11 - let me know what you ended up doing and are you happy?
So I ended up returning the 11inch iPad and bought the 13 inch iPad pro with the smart folio and I am really happy I did. I've been loving the 13 inch again for consuming content and some light productivity work - it's just better having that screen real estate for me. I do get why you are missing the 11inch because it feels like the perfect size in your hands for a tablet when holding, but for watching movies/tv shows in bed, on the sofa or on a plane, it was the better option for me. The OLED screen is beautiful.
Yeah I know - I think generally the 11 inch is the sweet spot and I don’t know what I will do. I am typing this on the 13 I got today and I’m feeling a little better about it. I love both of them and the 11 is a great size to lounge about with although, I do have the mini 6 too so maybe the 13, the mini 6 and the MacBook Pro 16 will be “the team”… The OLED screens on both of them are just amazing though aren’t they?
@@wobind72 Yeah, the OLED is pretty amazing. I think you should maybe wait for the rumoured ipad mini pro if that ever comes out, that might be your sweet spot!
100% the 11” feels like the sweet spot, ONLY because Apple has not released the iPad mini 7. I’m going to pick up the 13” to be my heavy hitter. I do not have a Mac laptop, the 13” IPP M4 will more than do what I need. But when the iPad mini 7 releases I will pick that up as well. If Apple was going to no longer make the mini, I would go 11” all day.
@chris-colton I have a lot of 0.5 sec drops, which is due to trees near our caravan. Don't notice with streaming Netflix but vpn doesn't like it. Hopefully by moving dish 6ft forward will resolve..
@@cyberdredd4278 yeah the app is great! You can also buy a remote too which works with it that might be a little faster but I’ve had no problems with the app at all!
Hi Chris ...great video ...slightly different coverage compared to all the video postings about the new BLACKMAGIC cinema camera announcements. 👍👍 ... There has been endless speculation on many of the RU-vid sites , that CANON might debut new cinema cameras to replace Canon eos R5C , eos C 70 and the C200 , but your shoots of their Stand doesn't indicate that - unless they've still got kit under wraps to be revealed over the next couple of days ??? ..... SONY seem to be the same , with no FX30 /FX3 upgraded cinema cameras or new 6K camcorders ???? ...what is happening on the PANASONIC stand ...is there an S1H replacement ??? .....DJI were also rumoured to be showing a cine camera ( I own the DJI Ronin 4 -6K ), but your shoots of their Stand didn't indicate that either ??? ..... pretty disappointing from all of these camera manufacturers ....unless you can enlighten us more ....keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Hey thanks so much for watching! I just took a visit to canon and had a read online but no sign of any announcements - seems they’ve been pushed back a bit! In terms of Sony/DJI there doesn’t seem to be any movement for any new products either! Insta 360 have an announcement tomorrow for a new 8k action camera but that’s all the camera announcements I seem to be seeing!
@@chris-colton Thank you for your prompt reply Chris ........... Wey Hey ...so much for all the soothsayers predicting the flood of cine cameras to be released at NAB 2024 ...Lol 🤣🤣....apart from Blackmagic .....seems we'll have to wait till IBC 2024 in September ....unless there is another trade show somewhere else !!!!!
Sadly, I didn't get a chance to check Axibo out! I thought I found a video on them but it was from last year. Their stuff looks pretty cool - at the moment I am using Edelkrone for my slider and for panning so worth checking their stuff out!
Hey Martin, Yes you are correct. This is the original FlexTilt: edelkrone.com/products/flextilt-original - Thank you, I am going to update the description now!
Cool ! I don't know if you are, somehow, affiliated to Edelkrone, but I'm looking for some unobxing/test of the FlexTilt Max. If you have anything related to, I would be please to know about it. Thank you again. @@chris-colton
@@martinprince3516 no affiliation with edelkrone - just a fan of their stuff! I do think the flextilt max is quite new so don’t think there will be many videos on it yet!
We bought a Crafter, very reluctantly returned it due to lots of faults on the computer 2021 MY. Just about to buy a High roof T6, Hoping this will also be a better size than the Crafter as you say they are huge and parking requires planning ahead. Good luck , will watch with interest.
I want to get one for my area, so many people go missing mushroom picking every year.. I’m sure our local search and rescue has one but they could be so nooby lol.
