I tried this today games is OK. It seems impossible to get the middle for a 1000 tickets. Spelling gold for 500 is doable. Shame prizes are rubbish in here.
Wow! What a transformation, remember most of the ride being quite dark and nothing to see. It's lovely to see it well looked after with new UV artwork and lights . King Neptune looks amazing with his new makeover! Looking forward to riding this again soon. 🙂
I first went on this 20 years ago and it's still nice to see it in operation. I love the drop inside the tunnel which goes fast! Would love to see some theming in there one day like Vampires and Bats glowing in the dark. 🙂
Was the rocking mechanism for the Ark/Space Base actually built on top of the green “roof” on which Spook Express sits, or was the mechanism at ground level between the Jet Cars and Neptune’s Kingdom?
My local park was called joyland, it shut its doors in 06. They had a ride that looked just like this, I got crazy excited and thought maybe someone was uploading footage of my old park!
I’d love to see the floor plans for that mountain to see how you fit so much into the footprint. The old rocking mechanism for the Ark, the Jet Racing Cars round the outside and Neptune’s Kingdom in the middle. There must be a book on the history of Joyland?
I remember being able to peer down into Neptune’s Kingdom while walking through the labyrinth underneath Noah’s Ark, watching the seahorses trundling round the track. It was mind-boggling how so much was squeezed into such a small space. I’d love to see floor plans for these classic attractions.
