Even if you don't know the Story at all - this is a Visual PARADISE of all things Beautiful - just dive in, sit back & marvel at it all. Etienne (Juliette B) FLOWS about the incredible Kitchen, orchestrating the assembling of a Meal with Precision, Respect and Love. Not since Babettes Feast have I been SO mesmerized.
I adored this film, 2.5 hrs went past without my noticing it, I was mesmerised by it, and so moved that I was crying when I came out of the movies. So beautiful
"It is the best movie I have seen in cinéma "... like me. I was born with Star wars (1977) - Star trek- Blade runner and Empire strike back - I loved Lord of the rings and Matrix and Interstellar...but for me DUNE 1 and 2 are the best scfi movies . Lord of the rings is medieval fantasy and it is so epic but in a different domain.. I prefer scifi and I have seen many films in this genre but I agree with your opinion: the BEST ONE is the Dune from Villeneuve: history, casting and characters ( roles, évolution )music, photo, poetry,.. Very different from Dune 1984 (David Lynch) which introduced the story of F.Herbert but this film is too kitsch, too violent even if the casting is good. Very difficult to see it again .. My opinion.😊
My adored and smart nephew-son!. Thank you for invited us to see this beautiful movie. Your description and your voice transported me to the kitchen of Juliette and Benoit’s. I adore you !❤
POST SHOW UPDATE: What a great show! I loved the skits. Fun show! Here are the 2 categories I got wrong. Best Actress: I should've stayed with Emma Stone as my predicted winner. I went with a bold last-minute prediction with Sandra and I got it wrong! Happy for Emma! I loved her speech and I absolutely adore her. ❤❤ Best Actor: I predicted Paul Giamatti would win the Oscar, but after seeing Cillian Murphy win Best Actor at SAG, I knew Paul had no chance to win the Oscar. After Cillian won at SAG, the Oscar was his! Maybe next year I will do my predictions after SAG. 🤣 2023 was an amazing year for movies! Looking forward to the rest of this year! Thanks to everyone for interacting in the comments. You guys are the best! ❤❤❤❤

Yea but is Dune 2 better than Madame web? I saw the female cast and crew bang on about how good it is. It costs the same to see either, just can't make my mind up????
Outstanding review, love the editing and how articulate you are. Just saw the film on IMAX and it was awe inspiring. And every performance was pitch perfect. Villeneuve has become my favourite director on the planet.
I saw it last night. I think there was all of like ten people at my local theater. I had a whole row to myself. I live in a small city, so this didn't surprise me. I love having the theater to myself. Some people like the crowd for the audience reaction, but not me, I don't like large crowds or being disturbed in any way while watching a movie, especially a movie as special as Dune Part 2. I'm tempted to go see Dune Part 2 a second time. I'm not sure one watch is enough. People keep mentioning that it is a long running movie, but it did not seem long to me. When the movie ended, I was a bit upset there wasn't more, but maybe that's just me.
“Disgrace” seems a bit harsh. Does it follow the book exactly? No. Does it capture the essence of the story? Yes. Like Peter Jackson’s LOTR, is it the best film adaptation we are ever likely to see? Most certainly.
You clearly didn’t watch any award shows so far. There isn’t a race for BP, best director, best actor, best supporting actor and actress and removing Lily Gladstone? Are you out of your mind? She just won the sag and is the only competition to Emma Stone.
I recorded the video BEFORE the SAG awards, and up until then, Killers of the Flower Moon had no momentum whatsoever. I think, for a lot of people, seeing Lily win at SAG was probably a shocker and unexpected. Yes, the best picture, director, best-supporting actor, and best supporting actress are locked in. But I'm afraid I have to disagree with you about the best actress and best actor. The best actor is leaning towards Cillian right now, but there is a chance for Paul; it's small, but there's a chance. And sure, Lily can win, but Emma is probably the favorite.
@@skipthepreviews There’s zero chance for Paul, he needed SAG to have a chance. Cillian has won everything that is relevant and is the face of the Best Picture winner. People have this mistaken narrative that Paul is overdue and loved, but couldn’t win at SAG. Even before SAG the only competition for Emma Stone was Gladstone. There was never hype or momentum behind Sandra Huller.
@@Usedtobebillie I respect what you are saying. Sandra is a long shot, which is why I think it was a bold prediction and probably why I was sweating after I said it, lol. But we are only a few days away, and it should be a fun night! Thanks for bringing in the discussion!
Bro you just removed the Best Picture.. Oppenheimer won't win Best Picture. That award is for Best Story and many other films nominated has better stories
@@CB_4 I have to agree with you here. If you look at all the awards that you listed. They have to get Best Picture. It would be the shock of the decade if they don't at this point, lol.
Oppie is a lock for BP, at this point of time Director, Supporting Actor, score, and best picture is a lock. Even best actor after SAG is more or less a done deal.
Yes, 100%. The leading actress should be interesting! I'm also curious about leading actor, can Paul Giamitti actually beat Cillian Murphy? 😮 - Thanks for sharing!
That's a fantastic pick. Honestly, he might win it. I think Oppenheimer will have a big night, which leans in his favor. Is it too late for me to change it to Cillian? 🤣 Thanks for sharing!
@@skipthepreviews uh calm down with Oppenheimer yes he can win awards but I have the impression that you forget Killers Of The Flower Moon this film deserves to be rewarded for best director, best film and best actress oppenheimer is not going to win everything when Killers Of The Flower Moon will win you go tell oscars steal
❤❤❤👏👏👏 my favorite movie for its subtlety in expressing the passion in food and love shared by two people. It is a sheer beauty of the cinematography throughout the entire movie.
This movie was absolutely ridiculous but I really enjoyed it because I found it so fun. Most of the twists did work for me and kept me engaged in the story and the cast was excellent. Not going to be one of my favourites of the year, but I’m glad I saw it. Great review, man! Keep making videos 👍
Niklas Frank, a German journalist whose father was Hitler's general gouverneur of Poland, wrote a book each in which he eviscerates and exposes his Nazi parents for the absolute scum of the earth that they were. Sandra Hüller's role and performance reminds me very much of how Frank descibed his mother in the book he wrote about her.
Not for Glazer, I think, because afaik there is no English language version of that book available. But it was a bestseller here in Germany, so Ms Hüller will at least have heard of it.
