Terrific tutorial in great detail and skill. .THANKYOU The skills of a botanical artist are those of deep appreciation and attention to the wonders of natural science of which we are a part. Instruction and the ability to inspire others is much valued and appreciated. THANKYOU very much for this
These are great photographs. I’ve been in awe of these since childhood. Having relatives in Maine that have been foraging for 20 years, I have learned a lot.
Hi, Thank You for sharing your own knoledge about this Fungi - The Mushrooms! I love drawing and painting with watercolors, and these "mushrooms" caught my eye! It became a "love at first paint, with watercolours"! I have seen your paintings, and will cherish them as my guidelines! I'm an ARTIST, not a Botanical Artist, but is here and there so "inspired by plants", and animals, and humans! Thanks for showing your works and sharing your knowledge! Yours, Tessa
This is stunning! These seed pods are so interesting and beautiful with all the colorful differences from one pod to another. I've recently become curious about using watercolor on vellum. A few technical questions if you don't mind? how does vellum stand up to erasing pencil? And the pumice powder, does that help keep oils from your hands off? I can't find much about the technical topics or processes so it's fitting to see this video in my notifications today.
This is also called graisille (the spelling is probably wrong) or under painting right? I've been looking for this technique for sometime! Adding that to the description can totally help others find this video and your channel! I definitely subbed! Looking forward to more of your work/teachings.
