Thanks Seth. It was all filmed as a test for the studios audio equipment, so we just played for an hour. Whilst there were some cameras around, it wasn't really filmed as a video project
Yeah! Nice job. Love the great intonation between the bones in unison. And got to love the trumpet hitting that high registry. Just like in the Bobby Shew days. 🎉🎉🎉
DAve Weckl I feel the only drummer to do this gig. Interesting to watch the differences between BR and DW; immediately to me is DW use of left hand on crash cymbal. BR did this but far less so.
Saw Buddy do this chart over 70 times. Miss those days. Dave plays it on par with Buddy Rich and it is a thrill to see him do this and create his own take on the chart, A Master player. Thank you for posting this. Gold.
Nice!!! seen a lot of drummers play with the Buddy Band in tribute and, in my opinion, Dave Weckl just about nailed it and definitely brought the spirit of Buddy to the band! nice solo!!!
Just proves the drummer is driving, steering and pushing the whole thing.... Not to take away from the rest of the great player. Brilliant sax soli. Brilliant all around.
