in all honesty if a small ship stayed above me for more than 5 seconds. i would have just bailed. its clearly not a winnable fight with that kind of mobility. cool fight tho.
Usually in combat ships the FSDs are shielded, a Vette can exceed 5k absolute armour, 2 7A SCBs can buy you enough time to escape. An SLF could be usefull in ganking situations, if you have a class 5 or 6 optional to spare.

Also, starting fights over your pay scale and bailing at the moment before being blown up is how one gets experience in PvP, doesn't have to pay rebuys, and denies the opponent of the satisfaction of your explosion all in one.
