I know I am replying very late. But Gili is my favourite place. It worth the visit. Plan to spend at least 2 nights there. For one day it will be very exhausting

No, Night 1 - kuta Night 2 n 3- gili ( this place deserves 2 night stay but not you can return after snorkelling) Night 4 - Nusa Penida Night 5/6 - Ubud
You have given such precious intel. I am thinking to stay in Kuta for 4 days (do Uluwatu and Nusa in between), and Ubud for 3 days. Thanks to you and the gems you shared here.
I have planned to go to Bali in the first week of may24. Few onlines sites giving threatening warning against use of normal tap water for brushing teeth asking us to wash hands with mineral water or hot water. They are talking too much about bali belly. Even go to the extent of no eating of salads. Being vegetarian I feel little concern about these warnings.Is it true to that extent. If so, what are the precautions we have to take.
I didnt understand the language yet english words in between and clear visuals helped. Add the language to the tittle next so we don't get confused. Or atleast put subtitles. All and all good tutorial
I did snorkaling not scuba diving, so won’t be able to guide you about scuba diving trip. Snorkeling was for about 3 hrs. And yes you can do snorkeling trip in the morning and catch afternoon ferry to Bali. I did the same. Went for snorkeling at 8am and caught return ferry at 1 am.

I’m planning to visit Bali in March.. we are planning the same itinerary as per your suggestion I just have one question- from kuta you check out early morning and visit Bali east? (Limpinyang and tirta gangga) how did you manage the luggage. If we are not comfortable to carry luggage along with us, what is the other alternative you’d suggest? I don’t remember the name, but it is on the main road itself in east Gili.You can easily spot it. (Very close to pearl of Gili travangan hotel) If you book hotel in west side of gili island it would be difficult to go back to hotel in the dark. Only option left would be to take horse cart.
Hii, I visited in April 22. As I visited just after lockdown the crowd was less. And also we reached everywhere early in the morning which helped. But Bali is has experienced sudden jump in tourist, so I cannot say about it now. Weather was hot, as equator passes through the country. Making afternoon difficult to travel. You will have to plan everything in early morning or evening.
As I remember check out was at 12pm. So we had enough time to come back from snorkeling, get refreshed and check out. The snorkeling activity got over by 10:30 so had enough time.
