I remember this song from my youth with Bobby Darin singing it. I liked Tim's live version but I think he was over the song by the time he sang it. This studio production lacks that live emotion. I wish I could mix his versions into one great one because the song is just so wonderful and melancholy
Hi! I know this video is quite old and the chance you'll see this comment is slim but if you do.. Do you remember the seats by any chance? I'm assuming first 2 side rows of Dress Circle?
Wow! Very nice video, Alan. These pictures are all new to me; you pulled this off really thoroughly, nice job! 😀 I tried playing Tim's work on my channel, and it's so inspiring to find the creative ways people interpret his work. Keep up the fun montages! I subscribed to your channel
as well as Beth being as wonderful as ever there's the added bonus - the understated beauty and accompaniment by Ruth Trimble . though sadly she probably doesn't appreciate guys saying such a thing (though meant in the nicest possibly way. honest!)
Thanks and glad you enjoyed the video - "artistic licence" I think it's called for slipping Gougane Barra in - I wanted to avoid a long (accurate) title 😉
love your photos i go there every year exactly where you took them at the start of the video across the bay from where you were staying and you got the weather too
This is the first Beth N.Chapman I ever heard. It was hard to find. I finally found the cassette single! Been in love with her music ever since. Thank you Beth for all your beautiful music. You have blessed my life.
When a performer is better known outside of her country, that is a true shame. Introduced to her by a friend with this exact song back in 1995...Been a huge fan since, and her music has gotten me through more than a few harrowing moments...Every December Sky is also a great piece (as are most of her works)
