Coaches: "You have to stop your momentum, that's what generates power." Eagle McMahon: "2MPH WALK UP, 1MPH X-STEP, 550ft. BOMB SEE YA." Seriously his slo-mo is SO MUCH SLOWER than the rest. How???
I'm noticing that his arm is straight and how shoulders are back so much longer than everyone else. AB is starting to let the elbow break before his weight is all the way on his front foot, but Eagle's shoulders don't start turning until his back heel is up. I'm working on backhand timing and trying to figure this all out.
@@timkvernen4852 Great observation. Yeah I've heard Eagle say (in a recent vid with Drew Gibson, I think) that he thinks about generating power from the ground up. Which we've all heard before, but whenever I really try to weight-shift/slam on my front foot AND THEN throw, the disc goes 150ft. (and it feels so unbelievably wrong). But that's because I've got bad form/mechanics I guess. Thanks for the informative comment!
@@flippeditude1170 In the past I was just working on straightening my leg to brace but realized that I was doing it when my hip was above my foot. For the leg extension to rotate your hips, your hip needs to be behind the foot (otherwise you're just kind of jumping). I've gotten some more distance that way, but still needs some work!
@@timkvernen4852 Yeah I definitely fall over my 'brace', when I try to throw hard. Haven't thought about it in quite the way you put it. Might help me; thanks very much :)
This is awesome, nice work! I ran across this video because I've recently injured my right foot and am thinking that the cause of the injury (sprain of the interosseous membrane, aka high ankle sprain, according to the MRI) was probably caused by my throwing from the tee as my right foot pivoted (right handed backhand). I have several problems with my foot (chronic achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, bursitis, and 3rd metatarsal pain), so I may be the only person whose foot has reacted so badly to tee shots. It started two days after playing, and just got more and more swollen and was very painful. I ended up in a walking boot and on crutches, and now at 16 days after the swelling started, it has mostly receded, but I am very tender to the touch behind and above the outside ankle. That plus the usual tender and painful achilles tendon make it so I can't really push off with the right foot. Anybody else have a similar story to share?
I was searching for this seat on Amazon and other golf sites and all gone. Eventually gave up bought a cast on Amazon came with seat for $159 Can. only $20 more then the BB seat. Well This cart looks and pushes great and seat is fine. the Cart is so unbalanced it wants to tip backwards when you remove your clubs.I just found a brand new BB seat on FB Marketplace for $50 and am installing it today. saddly the season is done but het anyone want to buy a Cart with seat only used a few months? lol thanks for confirming what that extra bracket is for....don't need it on my old C31 BB cart
Looks like the newer Quad XL has a single upright rather than the pair of uprights on your cart. Has anyone tried using the XL? I'm thinking that the bottom of the bag might swing more without 2 upright bars to support it.
Yea.. exactly.. I have the model just like in the video.. 2 uprights.. and the "disc golf" model isn't really any different... it has "hooks" instead of the folding arm things. I've been using a bagboy quad since before Jeremy Koling used one.. since like 2015 for me... Anyway... I'm getting a new one cause the handle lock is wearing out... (gears grinding down too much to hold it in the most common positions) Sadly the new one with a single pole I have this concern too, but its either that or look for an old used one that may or may not have the same issue I'm having.
Just got mine and it’s incredible. But yes I want more discs haha. I recommend getting some sick Velcro patches. Also learned some things about the bag!
This frisbee is as lame the guy talking crap. Loudmouth with no class. Straight from the Ghetto. How old is this clown 12 ? I’m shure jobs are calling him to work in the corporate world. Because of his great communications skills. No one has to make this guy look bad. He does it all by himself when he opens his Mouth. SMH.
Its a great dics! Great for those upshots when you need your disc to stick. This Berg was dyed by @bscribbles, there is a link to his site in the description, he does great work!
The way they are able to collapse the shoulders on the follow through is something nobody talks about. Having that hypermobility is incredible for your distance.
There is so much going on it's easy to miss this but you're right. It's almost like a downward punching motion that they are doing to collapse the shoulder. Definitely gonna try this out next time I throw!
