This is exactly what I was looking for, so sick of paid reviews (even if yours was positive about the shaver too) but you’re not trying to sell the product, you’re just giving us your thoughts. Def helped me make a decision! Thanks for making this video.
Hello.I want to ask you something about this machine.I normally shave my hair every 2-3 days with a razor with 5 blades.Applying foam etc. makes me very tired.Do you think this machine will work for me?Can the razor cut the hair as short as Mach5.I would be very happy if you help me.Which one do you think is most suitable for bald hair?
Thanks for the video. Will consider this for sure. I have found changing to a double edge from my safety razor to be an improvement, but like yourself I am still getting cuts and razor burn on my neck. This might be my only saviour. Dam it will hurt my wallet though.. maybe I'll wait for a sale.
Very good review. Your 2 day growth is my 3 day. It is good to know that this could easily handle me. I have a Babyliss 2 double foil shaver and it does a great job but 3 days is really pushing it and I usually finish with a defender razor. Whether I get this or the Arc 6, I am confident I will be pleased.
Honestly, for me, it comes down to freedom in if I want to not shave each day or every other day. Babyliss is great if you don't mind shaving more. Last night, I shaved my 4 day face with the Braun Pro and head while watching the Chiefs game. Took me all of 5-6 minutes. My babyliss can't handle more than 2-3 days growth. It has served me well for sure, 3 years, but I am ready for a change. @@Prophecy23JC Besides, if I "have" to have that baby smooth finish, I can always use the Babyliss. I won't throw it or give away. It's a solid machine.
I’ve become a little lazy now in my 60’s about shaving. Sometimes I let days pass by without shaving because I work from home and don’t socialize as much as I did before. So I shave with a straight razor, sometimes with a double edge razor, nowadays every 4-5 days. But then here come these unexpected moments when I suddenly and unexpectedly need to go out. I find this razor to be perfect for these situations when I don’t have time or don’t feel like prepping my face for a shave, strop and/or re-touch my straight razor on a stone, and whip up some lather. I just often need to remove quickly my growth so that I may go out immediately to do whatever I need to do unexpectedly. I love using this razor for those occasions. It does a great job.
That trimmer is used for shaving a head with longer hair. Extend it and glide it along the head to prevent it from pulling hair. Cuts it down before hitting the blade. Give it a shot.
I love this razor. But i have to go over my chin again with a cartridge razor because for some reason it just wont get it no matter how many times or what direction you go..
I have the same razor . For headshave which setting you use and how many passes . And for face shave how many passes and what setting. I shave everyother day.Godbless you always and your family
I use safety razors for head and face shaving. What you think about the braun series 9 pro. Your own opinion between cartridges and DE And single edge . What you recommend best
That’s a difficult question to answer since shaving is so personal and what is best for you depends on your skin type (sensitive or not), frequency of shaving, time needed, etc. If you have time to prep your face, I always enjoy using a DE or single blade. But if I am running off to work and don’t have time to prep, cartridge razors are the fastest. The Braun is a great in-between and can always be taken with you if you need to shave on the road.
Thank you for the video i have the same problem as your neck but on my head i shave bald but back of my neck really sensitive do you think braun 9 is good for sensitive skin bald guys like me thank you
You're not getting the same smoothness as a cartridge razor well maybe that's because you're not using any pre shave lotion. Use a preserve lotion and that way you'll get a smoother shave that's what I do.
I don't either, but its ok and I love this shaver. Fast cutting and for during the work week, that is all I need. Saturday's I use my cartridge to keep that part of my shave game strong. I want to shave less overall and fast and this Braun allows me to do that.
I would not use a regular manual razor because that hurts my skin. I use an electric foil razor and that gives me a smooth shave but I don't have the Braun series 9 pro.
Hi! I personally haven’t tried the s9000 but I can say that the Braun does not irritate my neck. Using a quality pre-electric shave is highly recommended. I did try using a shaving brush with shaving soap as you can do that with the Braun. That too is an option to reduce irritation.
If you landed here because you want an egg smooth, quick, painless shave without gimmicks that bring no real value go for the Babyliss FX3 for a third of the S9's price. I shave my head daily with it and I have dense thick hair : 10 mn shave, no need to finish with a 5-blades to make it smooth. Battery life is amazing and maintenance is a breeze. Don't be fooled by overpriced consumer stuff when pro barbers gear is so reliable and affordable.
I have the 2 double foil babyliss. I really like it. Going on 3 years. If used daily, no need for something else, but it def not for more than 2 days growth, maybe 3 depends on the person. I use mine and then for that total baby bottom feel a quick go over with my Defender Razor.
@@LoganReefTank it did not do well on my face, but I have sensitive skin there. I used it for home use with no issues. Just have to know it’s limitations. Head shaved take longer than a Braun 9 or Arc 5 but it cuts great.
Had mine few months already gone blunt yes I use cleaning station oiled in end with whals oil when I ran out cleaning solution still blunt shame great shaver at first but went blunt to fast may get the Panasonic arch 6
I am test driving the Arc 6 right now and I can say that it misses the same hairs on the face the 9 Pro does. It also misses a very small of patch of hair on my head like the Pro 9. YMMV of course, but I would test drive it before dropping 4 bills. It's closeness is better than the Braun for sure though.
I am returning the Arc 6, Still having those pesky hair issues but with irritation. Not my first rodeo with electric shavers, foil shavers, etc. Arc 6 is an excellent bald head shaver, but for me not going to work for face shaving.
@@paulcarlin5181think I’ll skip the arch 6 if it’s missing hair on you. They do 6 blades and still manages to miss your hair .I’ll just stick with my bruan series 9 pro
@@paulcarlin5181 you may want to try rotary shaver like Philips I never used one they don’t shave as close as a foil apparently but some people say they work better for them than a foil so maybe it will work better .the bruan for me does a great job on head and not to bad on face but the blades are rubbish they go blunt fast and I wish it shaved closer and I’m deciding wether to get the arch 6 for that closeness
Ive been shaving with blades for the past 28years and always struggled with razor burns and bumps that looks terrible, somedays better than others. I need to shave every day. Tried all kinds of lotions, creams, different makes of razer blades and nothing has worked. Took the plunge on the expense and risk this would make no difference and would not feel a close enough shave for me. After reading reviews and watching your video i was still very skeptical. Received and tried 1st a dry shave and OMG i cannot believe how good this is, smooth, nice warm feeling on skin and no burns or bumps. Thankyou very much!
That’s awesome! Glad it’s working well for you! Razor bumps from blades is the worst. I feel that I’ve tried it all and have had no luck with any blade.
I'm 29 years old and two years ago I switched from cartidge razors to wet shaving with a DE razor and since then I had lots of issues with my skin such as razor burns, folliculitis and mild acne. ( Unfortunately I only realised it now, I thought it was something else but now I'm sure it is the shaving ) . I still want to keep shaving and I'm interested in this electric razor (never tried one) but it's surely quite expensive for me. But I'd happily buy it if it's worth it. Would you recommend it to me? Thanks a lot and well done this video was really good.
@@fil9039 I have just ordered it now ! I really hope this works but I'm sure it will. I have never had any issues with my skin until I switched to wet shaving. I hope it's not too late as my skin has several marks now. I also have a dermatologist appointment booked. I was so fond of wet shaving, what a shame ! Thanks for your recommendation bro
@@giogio-ul5ln hey bro it's going great. Sadly DE shaving is not for my skin. Unfortunately I can't get the same quality shave with this electric razor, no matter how hard I try. If I had to shave every other day with a DE, with this one it has to be every day. I hate the fact it's very loud. I don't actually enjoy using it , I really miss my razor but the effects on my skin are very noticeable so I gotta keep using it of course
@@alessandropizzocaro7506 i also tend to get little white heads on my beard area but it’s maybe because i’m a teenager. Do you shave wet or dry with the braun?
Hi, sorry for the delay. It will contain the hairs but it will eventually not be able to contain it all and start going elsewhere. Depends on how much you’re shaving or how long the hairs are.
Thank you so much. It's very helpful. I've been researching this razor for a while, and for the same reasons that you illustrated. I'm getting convinced!! ...
You’re welcome. I do not but from reading the reviews of the shavers, the pro is stronger and be used on heavier beards. I went with the pro because I use it for my head too.
