This one looks to be one of the several That I Sold back in 2009. My Dad a former Cat, Kawasaki, Yamaha and John Deere Dealer. Had several new Sleds still in the Factory Crates. I sold off over 280 Sleds that were Trade Ins and Several still new in Crates from the Early and late 70's.
Them old spirit engines were badass !!! They came in 1,2,3 and 4 cylinders. You can work on them on the trail. One time I blew a head gasket, miles back the woods. Everyone thought the run was over and started drawing straws to see who was towing me home. I said you just sit right there and have a beer while I take care of this. I made a Head gasket from the cardboard and the tin foil from a cigarette pack. I cut the cardboard to shape and peeled the paper off the back of the foil and rubbed it onto the cardboard. Got the whole day out of it and it still got me home that night. Mine was a 340 in a 76 Jag.
Nice! I owned two Pontiac minivans that I bought used. Made great little sled haulers. Drove both into the ground at 240,000 miles plus each. Yes they got ignored but the Cat got looked at much more. lol.
Looks like a Saturday up on Tug Hill with the old crew from Ingles, And some old friends that unfortunately drifted apart..... We are all lucky we all survived! 😊. Never any booze just a fast crew of “old guys” that gave the kids something to talk about........
I have a 700 sitting in my dad’s pole barn. He passed away but we used to kick Azz beating all of those Polaris and Ski-doos. But you have to know how to set them up.
