This channel is all about design, code, music production, and just things I love in life. I try and share my opinions and experience freely with others to have discussions and to teach what I know! I currently lead the product design team at Mothership, produce music as Cordio, making a coffee app called Taste Notes, share thoughts on my blog, make products at Trademarked, make design and music tutorials, and run my Patreon.
I've been designing for 10+ years and coding for 4+ years. I specialize in design, mainly working in product design for both the web and mobile apps. I have extensive experience with both visual and interaction design, design systems, user research, branding, shipping products, React, CSS architecture, and component systems.
I also make music and have produced 10+ albums, blending elements from electronic, ambient, jazz, lofi, and hip-hop under the alias Cordio.
What if your clients knows absolutely nothing about Figma or design etc. I was working as an intern for a company doing a ux design prototype for a higher education institution. They didn’t even understand what a prototype was. They expected to be able to use the whole application that was designed from start to finish. 😢
So i have this doubt for which I'm not getting any clarity. I've a team of 3 designers. And currently we work on xd. We share the xd file with html devs. And they have xd in their system. So they can open up the file and check for css properties. Now with Figma, do we need to buy the license for those html devs too? Or is 3 designer license enough, and when we share the prototype, can the html devs check the specs in view only prototype link?
Sir I don't understand points U call 8 points grid but u taking in pixel I don't understand this concept of points and use of relationship with pixels also how implemented please help me to guide
Great tutorial! I would love to add a bottom border/underline (but not the standard text underline) to the button text only (but not the icon). Any help would be appreciated!
I just have a question, if I send my "Password Protected Link" to someone with "Can View" accessibility and he/she views it and copies the artboards and pastes them in his/her Figma then what? That specific person will get all the rights of my hardwork. This solution which you presented is good but In the era of digital theft which is spreading nowadays, I still believe that Figma's management should come up with a more protective approach which can help us to protect our work.
the video doesn't actually demonstrate the steps. I only see the "Thanks to my Patrons" message. Where do you find the feature to turn on password protection? i.e. The admin must turn it on in settings, etc...
i'm trying to do this but i guess it only works if the button itself is a frame? i have a button that has a different shape, so i had to make a vector first. how would that work? i made the vector of the shape, then made that into a frame, the had the text in the same frame, but auto layout doesn't work on it ..
I'm looking for a similar effect, but only on one track. I only have Intro right now so my inventory is limited. Anything that would allow me to basically start with a muffled, low pass filter and build up to a clear normal sound would be great, thanks.
Hi! You can do that with this effect, use the Automate feature I showed (the red line), and use it on your Master track or whichever track you want it to affect.
I’m not sure why Figma thought that was the right way to do it, what I usually do is make a duplicate of the mask layer before making it a mask, and then put the extra one in the mask group as well. Hope that helps!
Hey brother, great video! Just wanted to mention now you can assign a property to the layer to toggle it to show or hide which takes away the need to make so many variants. Much love.
